To: U.S. Congress

Ban the use of all Private/Third-Party Trackers on all Government Websites.

Ban the use and implementation of all Private/Third-Party Trackers, Cookies, Analytics, Fingerprint methods, Fonts, Third-Party Logins (Facebook Login, etc.) on all Official Government Websites.

Why is this important?

U.S. Citizens have a Constitutional right to privacy. That privacy is violated or chilled by the government's implementation of private, third-party trackers and cookies (such as Google CAPTCHA and Analytics) upon government websites. Essentially, the Federal government is explicitly allowing, and facilitating, private companies to build profiles on every American that visits the website - these are sensitive records (DHS, IRS, Healthcare.gov, etc.), the use of which we have a right to have held confidential by the Federal Government.

The Federal government is more than capable of building-in its own trackers which do not violate privacy issues, as they do currently with Copyright.gov and the U.S. PTO.
