We in the community aren’t very encouraged in finding a solution to the question of CATAGO service continuing past June, 2024.
In signing this petition, we acknowledge that we either live in Spring Township, Centre County, Pa or have close friends/relatives directly impacted by a proposed change in the Service. Edit 1/27/2024 This petition now includes those in Benner and Spring Townships and Borough of Bellefonte.
Why is this important?
We need signatures on this petition. We need to show Spring Township that we need this service. That not just the ridership but the whole community benefits from it. If we lose it, many of us with would be without transportation. I’ve seen young adults riding it back and forth to work. People who live in our very rural area catching transfer buses so they can go to State College. Many customers on the route use it for grocery shopping, especially at Weis right in the township. Shopping in general with a route that covers WalMart, Goodwill industries, Barnes and Nobles and downtown Bellefonte. Patients can get their care from a PCP without traveling 10 miles. We can even go to Urgent Care. Think of the Restaurants on that route. Employees get to work using the route. Diners use the bus to eat there.
This isn’t a minor matter.

No elected officials were at the public hearing so it will be delivered in person at the Spring Township Supervisors meeting and mailed to the Borough of Bellefonte and Benner Township on Feb 5, 2024.
