Chuck Schumer, Senate Minority Leader, wants to legitimized the destruction of the United States Government by Elon Musk and Donald Trump by voting yes on cloture and voting yes on the continuing resolution. Chuck Schumer needs to either VOTE NO or STEP DOWN! And if he will not step down, Senate Democrats need to stand up and remove him from his role as Senate Minority Leader.
Why is this important?
Chuck Schumer is voting yes despite the American Federation of Government Employees, the largest federal worker's union, urging senators to vote no on the continuing resolution. He is voting yes despite attorneys general for seven states encouraging Senators to vote against this continuing resolution. This continuing resolution will substantially cut funding to important services in Washington D.C., will cut thousands more jobs, and will inhibit the Senate's ability to stop Trump's terrible tariffs.
Democrats need to stop rolling over and legitimizing this administration's desecration of the constitution and our federal government. If Chuck Schumer insists on rolling over and playing dead, he is not fit to be Senate Minority Leader and should be replaced by a Senator who is willing to fight for our democracy.
