Protect Due Process for All: Demand Action from the RI Congressional Delegation

We call on the Rhode Island Congressional Delegation to take immediate action to uphold the Constitutional right to Due Process for all Rhode Islanders—regardless of immigration status.

Every person in the United States is guaranteed the right to Due Process under the Constitution. That right is under direct attack.

President Trump is openly defying multiple federal court orders to return Kilmar Abrego Garcia to the United States. His administration has arrested, detained, deported, kidnapped, and disappeared thousands of people—without legal proceedings, without rights, and without justice.

This is a crisis. It’s not just a matter of immigration policy—it’s a direct violation of human rights and the rule of law.

We call on the Rhode Island Congressional Delegation:

  • Publicly condemn these actions;
  • Call for the immediate return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia;
  • Demand federal accountability for deportations that violate due process;
  • Champion legislation that ensures Constitutional protections for all people—regardless of documentation status.

As Martin Luther King Jr. said, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

We have no time to waste.

Why is this important?

We are Kilmar, Mahmoud and Rumyesa. They are us. The Trump administration’s violation of Constitutional rights will not stop with them.

How it will be delivered

I plan to:
-Print and mail this petition
-Email it to all 4 members of our Congressional delegation
