Demand for the Resignation of DHS Acting Secretary Wolfe
As the Acting Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, you have abused your power and position as Secretary of Homeland Security, especially as you remain in an acting capacity well beyond the limit designed by federal law.
We, the American people, stand in support with Representatives Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12), Jamie Raskin (MD-08), Earl Blumenauer, among many others, that we cannot continue to accept the Department’s recent use of unidentified federal agents, in [tactic] gear, patrolling in Washington, DC and Portland, Oregon in unmarked vehicles. Nor can we accept recent plans to expand this tactic to other American cities.”
It is for these reasons that we demand that you step down no later than Thursday, July 30 at 11:59 PM EST.
