Dixon Circle South Dallas Hatcher Station Bus be Restored

The residents of Dixon Circle are petitioning for Bus #12 (Hatcher Station), which was removed on January 24, 2022, to be restored to accommodate the people living and working in the area. Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) ‘GoLink’ which is similar to Uber or Lyft is not sufficient for customers living in the Dixon Circle Community.
Why is this important?
For over a year now, Dixon Circle residents have had to walk to work, to school, and to doctor’s appointments. This is outrageous, discriminatory, and a violation of equal protection under the law. The residents of Dixon Circle are tax-paying citizens and voters and deserve equal representation within the borders of Dallas County.
We’re demanding that #Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) restore bus #12 in Dixon Circle Now.
In Dixon Circle, the unemployment rate is 4.5% compared to the state average of 3.7%.
The population is 7,600, and 1,200 are children under the age of 17.
It’s estimated 25% of 7,600, an average of 1,900 people commute by public transportation.
Please join us in this fight by signing this petition to keep Dixon Circle Community thriving with sustainable systems, innovation, affordable, reliability, and safe transit for all residents. #Dallas
