If you have ever booked flights only to see the price at checkout look much higher than the fare you originally picked, you’ve had an experience with junk fees—disguised or hidden fees that don’t appear before checkout. In the case of airlines, this could include costs like seat selection fees and family seating, which are unaccounted for when customers see fares. It's time to end corporate greed and demand airline corporations tackle their junk fee issue.
Why is this important?
In recent months we’ve seen record numbers of flight cancellations and skyrocketing ticket prices. The way the airlines mistreat passengers and workers alike makes clear: big airline corporations have too much power already.
We’re tired of paying up for unexpected and hidden fees. While lower-income Americans are already struggling to pay bills, corporations (like Delta, JetBlue and American Airlines) are racking up and expecting record profits.
