HELP STOP THE VIOLATION of an IRANIAN MAN'S HUMAN, MEDICAL AND CIVIL RIGHTS!!!!
.jpg)
Stop mistreating my Iranian-American father, Mr. Ahmad Attarchi, and violating his patient, medical and civil rights, and allow him to have participation in his care.
Why is this important?
My father, Ahmad Attarchi, has been continually mistreated at 2 different nursing facilities that Common Wealth Care Alliance has contracted with. He is currently at Sancta Maria Nursing facility being held their against his own will. According to Sancta Maria, he has no will, and is just a vegetable. Their definition of a vegetable seems to be someone who cannot speak English well enough to be understood. I suppose to be elderly in a foreign country where you don't speak the language, means being a vegetable. Ahmad has been denied the right to adequate care, has been (this was over a year ago)....and is currently again being given the wrong medication, the daughter who is closest to him is not allowed to speak to his social worker or his Primary Care physician at the nursing home. His repeated requests to be discharged to home to live with his daughter in her 2 bedroom apartment have been ignored. His cell phone has been turned off all week without his permission, although after Attorney Ben Tariri recently intervened, it was recently turned on. His most important request, that he be disenrolled from a Medicare Replacement Plan Called Commonwealth Care Alliance Senior Care Options, has been completely IGNORED!, and his choice of Power of Attorney which he chose to give to his eldest daughter Mona has been ignored. He is currently being held against his will at Sancta Maria Nursing Facility, and neglected and mistreated there. He is an innocent man who has committed no crime, and is a 73 year old senior citizen. He has lost 13 pounds in the last year and currently weighs only 118 pounds. Common Wealth Care Alliance has kept him "enrolled" against his own will, and continues to mistreat him and violate his patient rights as they keep him enrolled. He is sad, miserable, and hopeless at Sancta Maria Nursing facility, and has made it clear in 4 different proxy forms that he wishes to have Mona his eldest daughter as his health care proxy. The institution that has kept him forcefully enrolled, Common Wealth Care Alliance, continues to refuse to disenroll him, and continues to ignore the person whom he has repeatedly chosen as his health care proxy, including ignoring the most recent form, from January 2020. Instead they insist that Sara Attarchi, his youngest daughter who has barely seen him in a year and did not grow up with him, (and who rarely even has a phone conversation with him) is his true health care proxy, based on a forged document that was created by Sara Attarchi in 2018, which does not contain Ahmad Attarchi's true signature. The Insurance company and facility are relying on a forged document to decide who gets to advocate for Mr. Ahmad Attarchi, and have ignored the phone calls and legal letters of 2 attorney's who have contacted them with concern for Ahmad Attarchi's will being and medical-emotional health. PLEASE HELP AHMAD COME HOME! He deserves to live a good life and be with those who care about him! Please sign this petition to urge Common Wealth Care Alliance to STOP MISTREATING HIM MEDICALLY AND TO STOP IGNORING HIS PATIENT AND CIVIL RIGHTS! Ahmad was sad, today, and looked hopeless as he talked to his oldest daughter on facetime. His eyes had no life, because he thinks he will never be discharged from the nursing home and go home to his daughter. And for 2 weeks now he has been denied the right to have visitations with his family and friends. He is being treated as if he is in a concentration camp, not a nursing home. ! And the administration won't even let him come home to those whom he loves!
