We, as concerned citizens of Seminole County, are demanding you rescind your support and cooperation with ICE forces. They are not behaving ethically, and association with them is shameful. We are better than that.
Hundreds of U.S. citizens have been wrongfully detained and mistreated by federal agents, often as a result of racial profiling.
ICE agents have used indiscriminate violence against legal observers and peaceful protesters. In Minnesota, they have murdered U.S. citizens Renee Nicole Good and Alex Jeffrey Pretti in broad daylight. ICE leadership has dismissed these attacks as "self-defense" despite clear video evidence to the contrary, and the FBI has targeted the victims for investigation instead of the agents.
Detainees at ICE facilities have been subjected to inhumane conditions, abuse, and even CIA-style torture. 510 identifiable human rights violations have been reported, including sexual assault, medical negligence, and mistreatment of children and pregnant people.
Thousands of immigrants arrested by border patrol have gone missing in Chicago following "Operation Midway Blitz" and in Miami from "Alligator Alcatraz."
ICE is using a number of privacy-violating surveillance tools and facial recognition spyware to hack phones, monitor a person's social media, and use databases to profile and track individuals. Federal and local law enforcement has also used Flock Safety's license plate tracking data to surveil protestors and immigrants.
The administration has revived its inhumane family separation policy; hundreds of children have been caught up in aggressive ICE raids and torn away from parents.
These increasingly grotesque, coercive, and illegal policies are glaring indicators of rising authoritarianism in America. We demand better for Seminole County.

Recent atrocities committed against both immigrants and citizens under the Trump administration have shone a light on abuses of power by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and its parent agency, Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
Since ICE and CBP were established in 2003, the agencies have terrorized immigrant communities, conducted unconstitutional border checkpoints, torn apart families, denied immigrants their due process rights, and subjected detained immigrants to physical, sexual, and mental abuse. The killing of Renee Good in Minnesota was the 9th ICE shooting since September 2025.
ICE also received an influx of billions in additional funding from the so-called "One Big Beautiful" bill. The bill placed no guardrails or conditional oversight on the use of this money, essentially creating a $75 billion slush fund for ICE to continue their violent attacks on communities across the country.
This lawless and violent agency must be defunded and dissolved for good.
