Increase the University of Houston’s Security

On February 7th, a student was forcibly sexually assaulted on the University of Houston’s main campus. This incident, alongside an increase in robberies, highlights our growing security concerns. The student body deserves to feel safe on campus, and the university resources should be prioritized as such.

We expect action from the university: including but not limited to:
  • Increased security personnel
  • Increased surveillance systems
  • Increased lighting
  • Working emergency stations
  • Transparent communication regarding safety and security incidents
Student safety is not an optional goal to be hoped for, but a responsibility that should be proactively pursued. It is now time for President Khator, Senior Vice President Bartlett, Senior Vice President Chase, and Police Chief Moore to take the lead in addressing this urgent issue.

Why is this important?

This is important to help our students feel safe on the University of Houston campus.
