Hello!! I just wanted to ask everybody to please share this petition as much as you can anywhere you can! These greedy, selfish ppl that we are suppose to trust are showing who they really are at the worst time in history !! I don't know what part of release inmates they don't understand but we aren't going away until it's done!! I will NOT go away until the love of my life is safe at home with his family who loves and needs him!! I know I'm not the only one that feels this way so we all have to stay strong and stand together ! This is NOT the time to play political tug of war when so many lives are at stake ! So if a fight is what they want then a fight is what they will get!! I am not going anywhere until I have the love of my life safe at home where he belongs with his family NOT sitting in a prison trapped in those cages praying they don't get sick and worrying about their family out here! Inmates in the FBOP need our help to save their lives
We all know that we are in the middle of a pandemic due to Covid-19, which is proving to be a very lethal virus that spreads extremely fast, so time is not on our side. Swift action needs to be taken ASAP. The Federal Bureau of Prisons is playing Russian Roulette with our loved ones' lives who are in their custody. Because inmates are in their custody, it makes FBOP responsible for their safety and health. The executives are responsible for the overall health and safety of not only the inmates but employees who have no other choice but to risk contracting this potentially fatal virus that has taken thousands of people's lives to make sure everything runs smooth and without incidence. The employees leave the building and live their lives as they should, but they could have this virus without being aware and continue contaminating areas and people without intention. Once the virus finds its way in, inmates are going to start getting sick from this and being all crammed into one cell and having no choice but to have contact with each other and this virus is going to spread like wildfire until every single person has it and the elderly and immune-deficient inmates are more than likely not going to leave that prison walking out! It is no secret that federal prisons are overcrowded with people who have non-violent charges and 50% are drug charges and drug addicts. There have been a lot of people trying to plead with the prison system to help with this pandemic and release all non-violent inmates to compassionate release or home confinement or other means. Too much time has been wasted so now we are on a very short timeline to get this done and save these lives!! I can't tell you how many people have murder charges who are walking the streets right now choosing their next victim, so while FBOP is worried about releasing non-violent inmates for fear that they would make the public unsafe, it is and should be a non-issue at this time in life! If they are in there on drug charges, more times than not they are drug addicts who need help, not prison in the first place! Bottom line, there are thousands of lives that need and deserve to be saved, so lets' be their voice and save them!!! Please sign this petition to have all non-violent offenders released ASAP ...like yesterday. Every hour that passes with no action taken is another "nail in the coffin" literally. Please don't forget they are humans who made some bad choices, but they shouldn't have to pay with their lives!!!!! Please sign.
Why is this important?
This is extremely important because we are gambling with people's lives, people who are scheduled to go home at some point, so this is just forcing it to be a lot sooner than anticipated. This pandemic has caused a lot of things to change in our lives and this is one of them. Unfortunately, we don't have the time to sit and think about it; we need to act NOW ..... Letting them go home early OR make them sit there and play Russian roulette with their lives??
