KEEP AI OUT OF SCHOOL
Hi,
As a student and environmental ally, I find it extremely hypocritical and, frankly, disrespectful that while students are banned from using Artificial Intellegence in any and all classes (for good reason), admin and teachers whom are meant to be setting an example are using AI to promote school events, class houses, and more. Many teachers throughout our school also include AI "art" in their classrooms. I think that if we, as a school, are meant to be influenced to use less AI and instead do our own art, our own essays, and our own math, that the adults in the building should be encouraging this and not be using AI either- in any form or fashion.
I find it especially strange because this school has always been an advocate about the fact that our generation is the future of the world- however, with the use of AI, that future could be stolen from us. AI uses gallons of fresh, clean water and normally takes this water from small communities and already struggling areas. This over usage of fresh water also impacts the environment- for reference, please go look at UNEP and MIT news- both of their takes on the impact of AI show how truly awful it is setting up the future for us. By repeatedly using it for school, admin is showing that they aren't truly putting us first and are instead taking the cheapest route around an issue. As a student, that hurts to see.

Why is this important?
Hi!
I'm sure that if you're reading this petition, you are also offended and put off by the constant use of AI by the admin and teachers of our school. By signing this petition, you could help stop this constant usage of AI within our supposedly anti-AI school. Its extremely hypocritical of our teachers and admin to constantly discourage us students from using AI (for good reason) and then go ahead and us it themselves to advertise our class houses, our school events, and our school in general rather than support the student body and get students to volunteer to make the advertisements themselves.
Its also extremely strange that a lot of our teachers have anti-AI posters in their classrooms directly next to a very obviously AI generated "art-piece". All of these examples show the hypocrisy of their statements and show us that they don't actually care about us nor the AI issue that is plaguing schools across the world right now.
