Keep the Pride Flag up at UPG!
The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg publically prides itself on being an inclusive, safe space for all. But to it's LGBTQ+ students? It does not feel that way.
Every year for Loud and Proud week, the Progress Pride Flag is raised in the Chambers lawn- only for it to be taken down barely two weeks later. The students at UPG have a right to be represented, and to be heard.
It is important, now more than ever, that this campus IS a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community. And a lot of steps need to be taken to get there. But right now, this is a major first step in the right direction.
Keep the pride flag up in Chambers lawn year round- don’t just say you care about the LGBTQ+ community, show it!
Why is this important?
If you or someone you love is LGBTQ+ on this campus, sign this petition to take necessary steps in making UPG safer and actually inclusive.
