Appeal for Account Restoration - Longstanding Personal and Business Accounts Suspended
Dear Meta,
I am writing to formally request a review of the recent suspension of both my personal and business accounts. As an independent music publisher, I have been using Meta’s platform for years to promote my business and the artists I represent. The sudden suspension of our accounts, without any clear explanation or indication of wrongdoing, has severely impacted our operations and our ability to connect with our audience.
We have consistently adhered to Meta’s Community Standards and have always operated within the platform's guidelines. Our accounts have been crucial for promoting independent music, engaging with fans, and growing our business presence. Our personal and business accounts have never engaged in any activity that violates your terms of service.
Given the lack of explanation for the suspension, we suspect that our accounts may have been compromised by unauthorized access or malicious activity. However, due to the suspension, we are unable to log in, verify any potential issues, or take appropriate security measures. This has left us in a position where we cannot explain or rectify any potential problems related to our accounts.
We humbly request that the Oversight Board review the suspension of our accounts. As independent business owners in the creative industry, Meta’s platform is a critical tool for us to reach our audience, promote our music, and support our artists. Losing access to these accounts without a clear violation or the ability to dispute the decision has created significant disruption. We have now received all the documentation, and there is absolutely nothing in it that indicates any issues whatsoever.
We are more than willing to comply with any necessary steps or provide any additional information to resolve this issue. We kindly ask for the opportunity to regain access to our accounts or, at the very least, to be informed about the exact reasons behind the suspension.
