To: Gov. Greg Abbott / House of Reps, Texas

Never Allow Dan Patrick To Hold Public Office in Texas again! Impeachment Now!

First SB3 now Dan Patrick needs to go!

Dear Governor Abbott,

I am writing as a concerned citizen of Texas to urge you to take immediate and decisive action to begin the process of impeaching and removing Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick from office. His continued efforts to obstruct and effectively erase the legal THC industry in Texas are not only economically destructive but represent a blatant overreach of government power and an attack on the personal freedoms of millions of Texans.

Lieutenant Governor Patrick’s actions threaten to dismantle an $8 billion industry that provides critical jobs, tax revenue, and—most importantly—legal access to medicinal THC products that thousands of Texans rely on to manage chronic pain, PTSD, epilepsy, and other serious conditions. His refusal to advance legislation or allow open, democratic debate on the matter stands in direct opposition to the will of the people and the direction the majority of Texans want our state to move in.

We live in a state that prides itself on freedom, personal responsibility, and economic innovation. By stifling progress and clinging to outdated and harmful policy positions, Lt. Governor Patrick is denying Texans the right to make informed decisions about their health and well-being, while simultaneously putting thousands of businesses and jobs at risk.

This issue is not simply about THC products. It is about protecting the rights of Texans to make choices for themselves, supporting our state’s economic growth, and maintaining a government that serves the people rather than its own political interests.

I respectfully call upon you to begin proceedings to remove Dan Patrick from office. Texans deserve leadership that listens, adapts, and represents their interests—not one that undermines them.

Sincerely,

Why is this important?

We, the undersigned citizens of the great Republic of Texas, demand the immediate impeachment and removal of Lt. Governor Dan Patrick from office for his continued abuse of power, obstruction of democratic progress, and deliberate actions aimed at dismantling the legal THC industry in our state—an $8 billion economic force that supports countless businesses, jobs, and, most importantly, the health and well-being of millions of Texans.

Lt. Governor Patrick's efforts to block access to safe, regulated THC products directly threaten the lives of children and adults suffering from chronic conditions, including epilepsy, PTSD, cancer, and other debilitating medical challenges. THC-based treatments have been proven to offer relief when other options fail, and for many Texans, they represent a vital lifeline—not a political talking point.

This is not just an attack on an industry. It is an attack on personal freedom, medical autonomy, economic opportunity, and the forward progress of our great state. Texans have the right to make informed decisions about their own health, and to participate in an economy that fosters innovation, not suppression.

No individual—regardless of position—should have the power to override the will of the people or drag our state backward into fear, stigma, and authoritarian control. Texas is a land of liberty, resilience, and bold vision. We cannot and will not allow our future to be dictated by outdated ideology or political self-interest.

Lt. Governor Dan Patrick has betrayed the trust of Texans by attempting to silence progress, deny access to medicine, and destroy livelihoods. Such betrayal disqualifies him from holding any public office in this state.

We call on you, Governor Abbott, and all members of the Texas Legislature, to take swift and lawful action to begin impeachment proceedings. Let this be a message to any future leader: the power of the people of Texas is greater than any one politician.

We will not stand by as our rights are stripped away. We will not allow suffering to be ignored. We will not let our state fall behind.

Texas moves forward—and it's time our leadership does too.

Signed,
The People of Texas
