Parole review for William Burden

We as a community are requesting that you review William Burden GDC 1001972090 again now and reconsider his parole date. We collectively feel that if given the chance Mr. Burden will prove to be a productive member of this community and he is truly a changed man. Thank you for your time and consideration

Why is this important?

William Burden has been incarcerated since February 15th, 2018. Since his incarceration he has gotten his GED. He has been sober since December 25th, 2019. He has quit smoking. He regularly attends NA and CR. He is one of only 3 men in his entire facility that is sober. He has been in no trouble since his incarceration. He is truly a changed man. He just needs someone to give him the opportunity to prove it.

I sent out a mass mailing and someone commented that I said I had over 300 signatures and it was rejected bc of this but I have paper copies going around as well so I actually am at almost 400 signatures between the 2 of them right now. Thank you for your time and continued support.

There has been a few questions I would like to answer. He was charged with Burglary and sentenced to 12 years. His prison detail is at the Georgia State Patrol office. He has a job out here, a family, and a home. He intends on going and being an active member of the church community just as he is doing inside prison. He is willing to do house arrest, drug court, or any other program as long as it puts him with his family. The man he is today is nothing like the man that went into prison. He is thankful that prison has changed him into a better man and although he regrets the crimes he committed to get incarcerated, he does not regret going to prison bc without it he would not have changed. He is ready to start a new chapter of his life. He has watched murderers, rapists, and child molesters come into prison after him and get released before him. It's time for someone to really look at him and let this man come home.
