Save A Lifeline for the Gluten-Free Community - Save the 110 Grill in Latham, NY

To the owners and leadership team of 110 Grill:
We, the undersigned members of the Capital Region community, respectfully ask that you reconsider the decision to close the 110 Grill location in Latham, New York.
For many of us, this restaurant is far more than just another place to eat. It is one of the very few restaurants in the region where people with gluten allergies, celiac disease, and dietary restrictions can dine safely and confidently.
110 Grill has built a reputation for doing something truly special — creating a place where gluten-free diners can enjoy a full menu without fear, embarrassment, or limitation.
For those with celiac disease or gluten intolerance, dining out is often an isolating experience. At most restaurants, the only safe option is a salad, or sometimes nothing at all. Social gatherings, family dinners, and nights out with friends can become stressful or even impossible.
110 Grill changed that.
At the Latham location, people with gluten allergies could finally:
Order from a full, delicious menu
Eat safely without fear of cross-contamination
Enjoy dining out with friends and family like everyone else
Feel welcomed, understood, and normal
While there is another 110 Grill location in the Albany area, many community members find the Latham location far more comfortable, accessible, and enjoyable. The Latham restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere and has become a trusted gathering place for families, friends, and members of the gluten-free community.
For many diners, the experience at Latham simply cannot be replaced by traveling to another location.
Closing this restaurant would remove one of the few safe and inclusive dining options available to gluten-free individuals in the Albany/Latham area.
We respectfully ask that the ownership team reconsider the closure of this location, or explore potential solutions that could allow it to remain open, such as:
Re-evaluating operational changes that could improve sustainability
Exploring community partnerships or special events
Considering modified hours or service models
This restaurant has built deep loyalty within the community, particularly among those who rely on its exceptional gluten-free offerings.
We believe Latham and the surrounding Capital Region still strongly support this restaurant and what it represents.
110 Grill is more than a restaurant — it is a place where people who normally feel excluded from dining out can finally feel included.
Please reconsider the closure of the Latham location.
Respectfully,
Members of the Capital Region Community

Why is this important?

Many people in our community live with celiac disease, gluten intolerance, or other dietary restrictions that make dining out extremely difficult. Most restaurants offer only one or two safe options — often just a salad — which can make social gatherings stressful and isolating.
The 110 Grill in Latham is different. It offers one of the most extensive gluten-free menus in the entire Capital Region and has built a reputation for taking food allergies seriously.
For many people, this restaurant is one of the only places where they can safely enjoy a full meal with friends and family without feeling like an inconvenience or an afterthought.
Losing this location would remove one of the few welcoming dining options for people with gluten allergies in the Albany/Latham area.
Even if you do not personally follow a gluten-free diet, chances are someone you know does — a friend, family member, coworker, or child.
Signing this petition helps protect a restaurant that has made thousands of people in our community feel included, safe, and able to enjoy a normal night out.
