Louisiana leads the nation in rates of cancer, and ranks in the top ten for rates of heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. With 25% living below poverty, many of our fellow Louisiana citizens cannot afford to buy insurance. I urge you to ensure that Louisiana gets the health care that we deserve. Please implement all the provisions of the Affordable Care Act.

Utah should cease participation in daylight savings time. It decreases productivity, increases depression, accidents, and suicides. It does not save energy, as proven by research studies in Indiana when they switched and Ohio where different counties do and Do not switch. 25 percent of Utah's population is seasonally affected meaning their moods change with sunlight. Children respond to the sun regardless of the position of the clock. Schools feel the change in decreased attention from the students. We need to end this.

Wildlife in Need of Rescue and Rehabilitation (WINORR) is a non-profit that rescues injured and sick wildlife in the New York City area. They are appropriately-licensed wildlife rehabbers, and serve a crucial role in maintaining the balance on Long Island by saving innumerable animals native to the area, many of whom have been orphaned or injured due to human encroachment and irresponsibility.

Dear Members of Pinellas County School Board, Enough is enough! We, the undersigned demand you fulfill your promises. Innocent Black elementary school students should not suffer from a re-segregated school district as voted and approved by the school board in 2007. The students in five elementary schools in South Pinellas County, Campbell Park, Fairmount Park, Lakewood, Maximo and Melrose Elementary schools, were better off in 2007 when members of your board voted to abandon integration. According to the news article in the August 16th Tampa Bay Times, “Failure Factories,” 84% of Black elementary school students in Pinellas County are failing state math and reading exams. Melrose is ranked as the worst elementary school in Florida, and Fairmont Park is ranked the second worst. This is unacceptable. We urge you to do your job and live up to the bold promises made in 2007. Return full funding by the County to these schools, so that Title I and other federal funding is used as intended, for improvements. This is an imperative call to action. We insist that you re-fund programs to support teacher education and training, as well as review and implement evidenced based models which have been successful in educating Black children. The proper education of Black elementary school students in Pinellas County matters.

VeteransPlus, a national non-profit started by Veterans for Veterans, submits that the month of November should be nationally recognized as “Yellow Ribbon Month” as a tribute to all Veterans and their families who have sacrificed for our freedom. As of now, November 11th is the officially recognized day designated for Veterans. VeteransPlus believes that it’s simply not enough. Together we have the power to truly "Salute" our Veterans and their families in honor.
