  • Allow "No Party" Voters to Vote in Party Primaries in NYS
    We the undersigned, properly registered voters in New York State, petition the New York State Democratic Party and the New York State Republican Party to Adopt Rules to Permit Voters Registered as "No Party" in New York State to Vote in Party Primaries chosen by the voter within a reasonable period of time before the primary election (e.g. not less than two weeks nor greater than one month before the primary) as permitted in Section 5.210(5)(F) of the New York State Election Law.

    My sister was given a surgery she didn't need. My sister was mentally challenged. Instead of addressing her true problem they did an unnecessary hysterectomy. She died two days later. We are a family of 10 children, 3 of us are Registered Nurses. We have been fighting with this hospital: Brotman in Culver City. She died on July 5, 2006 and no one called to say she was dying.   • Lottery Funds for NV Schools.
    In April CA joins PowerBall, that leaves NV as one of only 5 states with no Lottery. The two highest grossing Lotto sites in CA are both on the CA/NV border. Our schools are 50th while we support CA schools with hundreds of million of dollars. We don't have to reinvent the wheel, just join PowerBall. Sell tickets at all NV casinos. It's a win win situation, NV schools, NV casinos, NV citizens. Why be grouped with Utah,Wyoming, Alabama, & Mississippi as the only losers?

  • Bring back Gender reassignment in the state of Minnesota.
    We the signed of this petition would like to see the University of Minnesota Medical School train Medical students in Gender reassignment surgery. There is a large population LGBT presents in Minnesota and at one time was the leader in Gender reassignment surgery. Currently we have to go out of state or out of the us. In the United States there is only a handful of skilled surgeons who perform sex reassignment surgeries. Maybe the U of Minnesota could help fund a student or two as long as they agreed to stay in Minnesota 5 years

    Rejean Shero has become a terrible GM over the last 3 years. He cannot draft forwards, he cannot sign forward free agents, he has an obsession with keeping beyond their prime veterans on this team, he has not made one of his great trades in 3 seasons, every off-season he is beyond conservative and Marc Andre Fleury is still our goalie after 5 post-season collapses. We need someone to come up here and fix this mess now.

  • Stop benefit cuts
    I have heard that yesterday President Obama made an offer to Republican John Boehner to cut Social Security benefits and leave in place some of the Bush tax cuts for the top 2%. I am opposed to these cuts and proposal. It would amount to "a cut of more than 5 percent and more as the years go by." For many retirees this would mean critical cuts to benefits that cover medicine, food, and other daily necessities. Thank You for taking time to recognize what we want..... Don Boberg

    We as a country and each individual state need to hold business holders accountable for bringing down the economy . ! They are charging way to much for rent and no one is doing anything about it . Every time minumum goes up the rent goes up . Also every year the rent for apartments goes up usually 5 or 10 dollars . This is forcing people to be on Welfare that do not need to be and also making the Section 8 waiting list unbearable for some who have to wait 2 years to get help they need now . !

  • Keep Buffalo Creek Clean
    Donegal Township, Butler County Pennsylvania is the proposed site of 3 surface coal mines that are nearly contiguous or next to each other over a 5 mile area.  The mines are the Hoffer and the Walters/Harger mines.  The Walters/Harger mines go thru the Hickey Bottom Wetlands, cause great risk to the high quality Buffalo Creek trout stream, and remove the habitat for the endangered eastern massasagua rattlesnake.  We the undersigned oppose the surface mine boundaries and demand that the mines are limited to exclude the Hickey Bottom wetlands and Buffalo Creek.

  • Shared Sacrifice to Fix Washington
    1. Politicians lose their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people. 2. Purchase and contribute to their own pension plan. 3. No work no pay. 4. No more expense accounts for food and travel. 5. Politicians must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people. 6. Pay raises to be the same COLA as Social Security and Disability recipients. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.

  • A small but important issue of medical transport
    Medicare/Obamacare only authorizes one medical transport per day. Many of us require more. For example, I am a triple amputee with diabetes on dialysis. I require dialysis 3 days a week so can only see other doctors Tuesday and Thursday. I was previously in hyperbaric treatment 5 days per week, ruling out all other visits. Please revise the rule so that repeated visits per week don't count. This may sound trivial but it is critical for the disabled community.
