New Hampshire Marijuana Legalization InitiativeIt's time citizens of the Live Free or Die state joined the ranks of those states where citizens are truly free to make their own choices on how they enjoy recreational use of a relatively benign intoxicant, when compared to tobacco or alcohol. We are one of the few states that can't get an initiative on the ballot by petition, unfortunately, but we can get so many signatures that our state legislature can't ignore us if they value their jobs. Recent polling information states that in excess of 60% of voters support legalization, so why don't we make our elected officials take notice! Please do your job, members of the legislative body; make your constituents proud to be Granite Staters and join the ranks of modern U.S. Policy makers. Thank you all for your time and consideration. Pass the "Use it or Lose it Act" before the general electionBy the Petroleum industry's own admission, to Congress, they are only drilling in about 25% of the areas they currently hold leases to drill, but they refuse to return the remaining leases to the goverfnment to reissue to others. multiple times the "Use it or Lose it" legislation has been brought before Congress, but those congress members who have taken money from the petroleum industry have defeated it. This bill will: 1 reduce the price of gas at the pump (the law of supply and demand DOES work), 2 put more people back to work (the closed down refineries would reopen), 3 protect fragile eco-systems like the gulf and the artic (since the currently held leases are NOT in those areas), 4 and take the control of our economy out of the hands of the petroleum industry. For the sake of the people of the United States (and exspecially the middle class), I urge you to enact this bill into law before the General Election this November.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by William Griffin

Do Not Close Bagel StationDear 235 Cafe management, One of the reasons we come to the 235 cafeteria in the morning is to have our bagels prepared by one of your dedicated employees. Today we saw a notice that states you are planning to close the attended bagel station in two days. Please know that what Marcia has been doing for years, was more than prepare our bagels. With her we started our day, every morning. That personal touch is something irreplaceable. Please reconsider your decision. Thank you, Your Loyal Customers153 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Monika

I Support Deregulation of Gas and Electricity in WisconsinI add my signature to this Petition to request that my elected officials seriously consider approving legislation that would deregulate the gas and electric utilities in Wisconsin. Deregulation would allow me the opportunity to choose my energy provider from competitors. Multiple providers force the decision makers to deliver smarter, greener choices and to offer energy at a competitive price. Those price savings are then passed on to me as I pay my bill—as much as 30% off of what I currently pay. Deregulation is good for residents and it is good for businesses. I strongly support deregulation.198 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Harriet C Callier MSCM CPCS

Maternity/Paternity Leave for Federal Employees in 2018!It is time to pass a bill supporting any type of Paid Maternity/Paternity leave for Federal Employees! Under current policies, federal employees may take up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave under the very outdated Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993! In 2017, H.R. 1022, the Federal Employees Paid Parental Leave Act was submitted for action -- This bill allows federal employees to substitute any available paid leave for any leave without pay for either the birth of a child or the placement of a child for adoption or foster care. It makes available for any of the 12 weeks of leave an employee is entitled to for such purposes: (1) six administrative weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth or placement involved, and (2) any accumulated annual or sick leave. The Office of Personnel Management may promulgate regulations to increase the amount of paid parental leave available to such an employee to a total of 12 administrative workweeks. Such regulations must consider certain factors, including benefit and cost to the federal government. The bill amends the Congressional Accountability Act of 1995 and the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 to allow the same substitution for covered congressional employees, Government Accountability Office (GAO) employees, and Library of Congress employees. Service in the National Guard or the Reserves by employees of the executive branch, Congress, the GAO, or the Library of Congress shall count as service for purposes of determining eligibility to take or substitute leave as allowed under this bill.15 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Tiffani Marcinkowska
