  • Reno Police Department: Hold The Driver of The Car, Who Used His Vehicle as A Weapon, Accountable!!!
Tell Reno Police to hold the driver of the white truck, who viciously drove his truck through a group of protestors accountable. Arrest and charge him with the hate crime he committed. On Oct. 10, 2016 in Reno, Nevada, two men in a white pick-up truck angrily drove through a group of protestors injuring 5. Earlier in the night the same vehicle and men drove by and shouted racial slurs to the group, then drove down the street, turned around, approached them, began harassing them, and then revved up his engine and drove over the top of the group. They must be held accountable.

  • Students stand your ground for access to education.
To all the teachers, parents and students that desire best opportunity for Education, please support this request to the Federal Government to lower ALL types of Student loans not to exceed 2.5%. Currently rates vary form 5%- 8 and 9% today both for students and parent plus loans that were obtained at the time the student entered college. In times of financial hardships, there is a high risk for these students to become victims of fraud agencies offering to lower the student loan rates at a cost and that is a scam. We are making this appeal to the Government to better the opportunities for higher education where in some of the other countries in the World, Education and Health is free. Example: Sri-Lanka

  • Mitch McConnell: Return the cocaine-linked money
McConnell has been a leading force in the war on drugs which has cost the US economy hundreds of billions and put tens of thousands behind bars for non-violent crimes. In 1996, he sponsored the "Enhanced Marijuana Penalties Act" to increase mandatory minimum sentence for marijuana possession. Recently it's come to light that a ship found carrying 90 pounds of cocaine was owned by McConnell's inlaws, the Chao family. The Chaos have given McConnell anywhere between $5-25 million in personal contributions. We are calling for McConnell to speak out about this and to return every last cent of the drug money.

  • Health Care for the Poor
We call on Governor Daugaard to support expanded Medicaid to the poor, for these reasons: 1. Denial of health care to the poor is health care rationing, which we abhor; 2. Poor people who access emergency rooms are a burden on health care providers, and increase the cost to other patients; 3. The federal government will pay almost 100% of the cost; 4. If the fear is that the federal government will renege on its bargain to pay, the legislature can enact a "circuit-breaker" provision; 5. South Dakota cannot ignore its responsibility to citizens who are ill or injured or have life-threatening conditions; health care is a human right.

  • Gun Control
We want the congress to understand that we support responsible gun regulations including: 1...Back ground checks required for all gun purchases. 2...Mandatory registration of all guns. 3...Mandatory reporting of any loss of a weapon by an owner. 4...Banning of assault rifles. 5...Improve the reporting (and listing) of people with psychological problems that would preclude gun ownership. 6...A strong enforcement law for people that fail to register their guns. 7...Severe restrictions on how the registration list may be used. 8...Vigorous enforcement of the existing gun laws. We must get accountability for these dangerous tools.

  • The Jason and Philip Act
Harsher punishment and a much more thourough in-depth background check including medical history, such as psychiatric and driving record for semi-truck ( tractor - trailers) drivers. And cameras installed in every drivers truck cabs. Plus no cells allowed while on the job. I had an incident involving a semi- truck driver who was on his cell while driving and he was weaving in and out of his lane on I-5, so my husband and I followed him to the weigh station and told the officer. The driver denied it at first, then finally admitted to talking on his cell. Then officer took our names and statement.

  • Grant Sovereignty to Puerto Rico
Never, on its 500 years of history, Puerto Ricans had a chance to FREELY elect its government. Always had been under the rule of Spain first and the US later. Until us, Puerto Ricans, don't exercise freedom of choice without external influences, we can't claim that the free will of the people was expressed. Give sovereignty to Puerto Rico and if the people FREELY elect to become a state or to be independent, then the US can respond. We are the oldest colony in the world and while the US claims to be the leader of freedom, 5 of our freedom fighters rot in jail and the island has turned into a bridge of drugs and arms from and to the US.

  • Gun Reform
The right to be safe from murder trumps the right of a militia to bear arms. We need legislation on the following: (1) screening firearms background check applicants against terrorist watch lists, (2) combating gun trafficking and straw purchases, (3) reforming the regulation of federally licensed gun dealers, (4) requiring background checks for private firearms transfers at gun shows, (5) more-strictly regulating certain firearms previously defined in statute as “semiautomatic assault weapons,” and 6) banning or requiring the registration of certain long-range .50 caliber rifles, which are commonly referred to as “sniper” rifles.
