The U.S. Senate must pass an extension to the supplemental $600 weekly UI benefit, with over 40 million Americans having lost their jobs during the Covid-19 pandemic and so many more 1099 workers having lost work. We cannot let July 25th come and pass without an extension from Congress! This cannot be political, this has to be collaborative, no Members' constituents are immune to the impact of this common enemy. We must fight together! Steady has over 2 million Members and its data shows that 25% of those with trackable income have seen their income drop to zero in work categories including retail, hospitality, food services, logistics & transportation, gig work and healthcare services since late February and UI benefits now make up approximately 20% of income generated by Steady Members. The impact of the $600/week going away on July 31st would cause an economic earthquake for tens of millions of Americans far outpacing the imaginations of most of our Federal elected officials. Yes, some may be making more now than before, but many have also seen large expenses such as healthcare and childcare increase dramatically. This is an opportunity to start to right the wrongs of our Nation's extreme income disparity. We do not want more of America's middle class falling into irrecoverable poverty and we don't want those already in poverty to face unimaginable hardship.

Prisons for profit make more money keeping people locked up than they do releasing them. This is wrong. A prison should be glad to put someone back on the street after they've served their time. Let's go back to state (or federal) run prisons and get the profit out of incarceration. I'm ashamed that we're the number one incarcerator in the western world.

Z S.F.G.H. hospital currently paying LAZ parking for parking permits. Their parking permits do not accommodate our work schedules. We are a 24 hour hospital, with mandatory overtime. One of the majority shift is 12 hours 7 am to 7:30 pm and the other 8 hour shift is 7am - 3pm. when we work doubles is 7am to 11pm. We asked LAZ parking to sell us all day passes and they said there is a 3 year waiting list. We would like for SFMTA to be more transparent effective and consistent with Zuckerburg San Francisco General Hospital worker allowing workers 24 hour parking on campus or for "W" street parking policy's falling under the medical exemption on the SFMTA website.

The Colorado State Senate just passed SB 44 which would remove the requirement that large utilities and rural cooperatives utilize clean energy sources for power generation. The bill now heads to the Colorado House of Representatives. We urge you to vote no on this bill that threatens Colorado's clean energy future.

Amendment XXII Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the Congress (Senate or House of Representatives) for more than 12 years total. A person may serve up to12 year in the Senate and up to 12 years in the House of Representatives for a maximum of 24 years. This article shall apply to all persons holding the office of Congress when this article becomes law. Those presently in office with more than 12 years in the Senate or House of Representatives must resign at the end of their present term. All members of the Senate or House of Representatives must meet the same pension requirements as our military to be eligible to receive a pension & also will receive the same health insurance as our military. Section 2. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the Vote of three-fourths of the several states within seven years from the date of its submission to the states by Petition.

As a Pennsylvanian, I urge you to comply with the Pennsylvania Supreme Court order requesting the current boundaries of our state's municipalities and precincts. Everyone is required to respond to a court order. It's very troubling that you are willing to risk being in contempt of court to defend Pennsylvania's unconstitutional and gerrymandered district lines.

This is the only bill in the house that would protect borrowers from predatory interest rates on payday loans. Church and community leaders around the state are calling for new protections for local families that take these loans. We know you are really busy with lots of bills, but please give this one a hearing!
