Taskrabbit.com and its app used to be an awesome platform for getting/hiring others to do a variety of tasks and for finding one-time jobs doing tasks for others...until the company changed its entire system last week, doing away with the bidding and posting of quick assignment tasks. This new format is unfavorable for workers and task posters, resulting in a complete halt of work and completion of tasks for the vast majority of workers and posters. Stop putting forth deceiving messages in the media regarding the popularity of this change, stop deleting comments from users of your taskers and posters, listen to your taskers and posters (without whom you would not have profited $38 million in 5 years), and change things back to the previous bidding/quick assignment format.

At present, both houses of Congress begin their daily sessions on Tuesday and end them Thursday afternoon. That's a three day work week, for which they are paid in excess of $174,000 annually. In addition, they take one week breaks on federal holidays. Then abetted by air flights, either paid for by contributors to their PACs, lobbyists seeking influence or reimbursed for commercial flights with tax payer dollars, they fly back and forth to their homes weekly for four days of fund raising. This absurdly short work week has contributed greatly to the lack of familiarity and cordiality amongst members of Congress. I would propose that daily sessions of both houses of Congress should begin on Monday morning at 9:00am with a roll call vote and end in the same manner at 5:00pm on Friday.

With JOB competitiveness at an all-time high for job applicants, even college graduates; by implementing the maximum 60 months (5 years) of benefits within one's lifetime does a disservice to those families in need. The previous Reform did not take account of the economy, with unemployment at record numbers and employes downsizing or implementing a freeze on hiring. Measures such as Coordination between the U.S. Department of Labor and the Department of Health and Human Services to produce adequate Job training, skills, or experience that would help families raise their living standards by working more and at higher wages with similar programs such as the Peace Corp or Job Corp. We the assigned, ask Congress of State and Governmental level to re-evaluate the Refrom of the Welfare Act to focus more on the individuals and families in need of service and assistance, rather than reducing caseload.

I believe a friend of mine would log on his account ("Thanksgiving") at my house, etc. I got into the site too and well it turns out he got banned at my house. Now i'm being accused of being him. We demand that Military and Defense spending be kept to no more than 10% of our nations federal tax revenue on any given fiscal year. This would reduce military spending from over 700 Billion in publicly acknowledged spending and permanently cap it at around 300 Billion. This can easily be accomplished by: 1)Permanantly closing 300 overseas military bases. (currenlty 600-700 worldwide) 2)Permanantly capping spending on the purchase or research of new weapons systems to 5% of the reduced military budget or 15 Billion a year. 3)Reducing our worldwide standing Naval presence by half from 300 ships to150. The USA should no longer be the exemplification of a global military empire. The US Military Industrial Complex can migrate to new and more meaningful business markets and pursuits.

We should approach gun responsibility as we handle automobile responsibility. It would require each owner to be licensed and to take a test on gun safety every 3 to 5 years. Each gun would need pass a safety test every year (this would include test firing annually with the characteristics of the spent bullet to be maintained in a data bank). In addition, each gun owner would be required to carry liability insurance for any damage caused by that gun. In addition a form of uninsured gun coverage could be designed to cover the liability costs of unlicensed guns. The owner of a double-barrel shotgun would have substantially lower liability than the owner of a Glock. If a gun were stolen, the owner would be quick to report it as stolen in order to keep his/her liability of that gun’s use to a minimum.

You may have heard that yesterday President Obama made an offer to Republican John Boehner to cut Social Security benefits and leave in place some of the Bush tax cuts for the top 2%. The cuts in Social Security are opposed by an overwhelming majority of SignOn.org members and would amount to "a cut of more than 5 percent and more as the years go by." For many retirees this would mean critical cuts to benefits that cover medicine, food, and other daily necessities.1,2 The good news is that many senators, including Senate Leader Harry Reid, have promised to oppose Social Security cuts in any deficit reduction package. If they hear from enough of their constituents, we can still get the Senate to reject this proposal and protect Social Security.
