Particularly in this moment of political tension and polarization, we must all support and defend the right of artists to push boundaries, and resist calls to restrict the arts to "safe" topics. We call on Delta Airlines and Bank of America to stand by their artistic partners and to affirm their support for the arts regardless of social or political pressure.

We, as a nation, have always understood that those who sacrifice everything to give their lives to the US Military to do as needed should be taken care of when they leave the service of our nation. The benefits, healthcare, and pay of veterans MUST be protected. Without the millions of veterans in this country, there would be a huge amount of USPS employee shortage. Without the veterans, wars would not be won. Without some stability and security from the Veterans Adminstration, and members of Congress, every veteran is currently living a life of fear. They're afraid they will lose their disability pay. They're frightened of losing the healthcare that is often the only healthcare they have. It is your duty, and everyone's duty, to ensure that veterans aren't living in fear of losing the benefits they earned by enlisting in the military in service to our great nation. Laws need to be passed to enshrine and protect forever the care of our nation's veterans. To turn your backs on your brothers and sisters in arms says if you served, you didn't understand the assignment. If I were in a foxhole with any of you, I would do whatever I needed to do to keep you safe. Isn't that the LEAST we should expect from our country in return?  We volunteered to protect our nation. What would YOU expect in return?

We, as concerned citizens of Seminole County, are demanding you rescind your support and cooperation with ICE forces. They are not behaving ethically, and association with them is shameful. We are better than that. Hundreds of U.S. citizens have been wrongfully detained and mistreated by federal agents, often as a result of racial profiling. ICE agents have used indiscriminate violence against legal observers and peaceful protesters. In Minnesota, they have murdered U.S. citizens Renee Nicole Good and Alex Jeffrey Pretti in broad daylight. ICE leadership has dismissed these attacks as "self-defense" despite clear video evidence to the contrary, and the FBI has targeted the victims for investigation instead of the agents. Detainees at ICE facilities have been subjected to inhumane conditions, abuse, and even CIA-style torture. 510 identifiable human rights violations have been reported, including sexual assault, medical negligence, and mistreatment of children and pregnant people. Thousands of immigrants arrested by border patrol have gone missing in Chicago following "Operation Midway Blitz" and in Miami from "Alligator Alcatraz." ICE is using a number of privacy-violating surveillance tools and facial recognition spyware to hack phones, monitor a person's social media, and use databases to profile and track individuals. Federal and local law enforcement has also used Flock Safety's license plate tracking data to surveil protestors and immigrants. The administration has revived its inhumane family separation policy; hundreds of children have been caught up in aggressive ICE raids and torn away from parents. These increasingly grotesque, coercive, and illegal policies are glaring indicators of rising authoritarianism in America. We demand better for Seminole County.

We want to maintain Net neutrality and provide a level playing field to any and all users of the Internet: private individuals, government institutions, small business, and nonprofits. It is important that we prevent large telecommunications companies such as Verizon and Comcast from creating a tiered Internet where the highest payers receive priority over all other users.

I believe we can take steps to reduce gun violence without infringing on the rights of responsible gun owners.
