We call on Mayors, City Council Members, and County Supervisors across the U.S. to take immediate action and unmask the threats that Project 2025 will pose to local communities and local government services. We urge our local city and county officials to take the following immediate steps to protect our communities from Project 2025: 1. Establish city and county Project 2025 Emergency Task Forces. 2. Hold public hearings. 3. Document the impacts that Project 2025 would have on local services and local communities. 4. Issue public reports on the dangers posed by Project 2025. 5. Pass public resolutions against Project 2025. 6. Share all information with local communities and media institutions. Project 2025 is a profound threat to communities across the U.S.  That's why our city and county leaders must take action now.

Ken Paxton, Attorney General of the State of Texas, violated his oath of office, and should resign, or be impeached. Upon taking office on January 5, 2015, Ken Paxton swore the following oath: IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE STATE OF TEXAS, I, Ken Paxton, do solemnly swear (or affirm), that I will faithfully execute the duties of the office of Attorney General of the State of Texas, and will to the best of my ability preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States and of this State, so help me God. His recent call for County clerks, judges, and other state workers to actively impede compliance by their offices with the rulings of the Supreme Court of the United States by refusing to process marriage licenses for same sex couples directly violates this oath. Since he has not resigned his office, we actively call for his impeachment for violation of his sworn duties.

The State of Louisiana currently allocates ZERO state dollars towards HIV/AIDS prevention or services. With the privatization of our public hospitals, our state matching dollars have dwindled. As a result, the federal dollars for HIV prevention and services will be shrinking. The latest news is that our state actually had SURPLUS revenue in the past year. Can't we spare a few dollars to help save lives today and tomorrow? Louisiana is currently in the top 5 states in the US relative to HIV infection rates and AIDS diagnoses. NOT funding proven methods of HIV prevention have resulted in an alarming increase in new HIV infections. The right thing to do - morally and economically - is to FUND HIV/AIDS PREVENTION & SERVICES in Louisiana. As our wise elders have said to us many times: "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!"

Impeach Chief Justice John Roberts Supreme Court We want Justice John Roberts impeached. 1) John Roberts is a threat to our freedoms, fertility rights, and rights to abortion. 2) The Supreme Court allowed an innocent man (Nathaniel Woods) to be put to death, after the real killer had confessed to the crimes, as shown on CNN. 3) John Roberts would not declare a mistrial in the Impeachment trial of Donald J. Trump when it became public knowledge that one of his attorneys, Pat Cipollone was a witness to Trump's Ukraine blackmail/bribery/abuse of power phone calls. 4) John Roberts did not use any of his constitutional power to intervene in Trump's Impeachment trial in the senate to allow witnesses or subpoena people who were willing to testify. 5) John Roberts is completely out of control and needs to be removed.

Students at The University of Akron are paying absurd amounts for parking. The cost doesn't even make logical sense. Parking for students over the entire summer is $225. Parking for students each semester is also $225. Why are we paying the same amount when summer is only 2 months and each semester is 5 months?! We are paying for months of parking that doesn't even exist. $225 for a semester in parking is insane when we are already paying for housing, classes, textbooks, and more. Also parking at surrounding colleges such as Kent State is $116 per semester. Akron needs to step up its game and support its students. Parking needs to be lowered to about $100 per semester at most. Students at The University of Akron are signing this petition to support this argument and defend their rights as students that make up this university. 

I purchased a Ford Escape PHEV in Sept 2024. Ford recently released a recall due to safety concerns, as the vehicle could stay on fire. Repairs are expected to be available 5/18 according to Ford, assuming no delays, and are first come first serve so it’s hard telling how long some could wait. New sales have been halted, as they’re deemed unsafe, but current owners are expected to continue to drive their fire hazard vehicles. I looked into trading in, but my Escape with a 50k sticker price has taken such a depreciation hit that I would have to come out of pocket $30,000 just to trade in and feel safe driving.  It’s my belief that Ford should do the right thing and buy back our vehicles so we feel safe going to work and transporting our families.

The lack of careful consideration when placing children with their father after court ordered their return home.

Florida legislators and DeSantis must stop playing politics with the lives of our children, healthcare professionals, and educators. Florida is in the midst of a public health emergency with the delta variant ripping through our communities, and those in power need to take action. Florida needs a mask mandate and an end to DeSantis’s absurd threats to withhold salaries for school administrators that defy his mask ban in public schools.
