There is a stop-smoking organization named LAQuits.org that has caused undue pain and emotional distress to television viewers. Their 2 commercials show people suffering from smoking related lung illnesses in graphic detail. People who have lost a loved one to various illnesses with similar symptoms are forced to relive the pain of their loss. This commercial is viewed by people of all ages including our children who may have suffered the loss of a loved one as well. Please join me in voicing your disgust and sign this petition. Also, contact your local television and cable channels who air these PSA commercials and their other advertisers to let them know that you intend to take action. Tell the channels how you feel and let the advertisers know that you will not buy their products or subscribe to their services if they continue to advertise on channels that air these horrible commercials.

Landis House offers crucial services not available anywhere else on campus--counseling and support for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence and for students and employees struggling with discrimination and harassment for their racial, gender, or sexual identity. Landis House is also a place where at least 40 students are employed each semester.

The current DOD policy singularly serves to keep enlisted service members from commissioning to the officer corps. The process concerning officer accessions from the enlisted ranks involving the use of “initial entry” (accession) medical standards as opposed to “retention” medical standards is inherently discriminatory.

I am petitioning for Legislation to make the killing of honey bee colonies and swarms illegal. Pest Control companies and homeowners are killing honey bees at an alarming rate.
