  • We need more Surveillance Cameras in all our schools from grades k-12 , I demand that every schoo...
The problem that I want to be solved is all the neglect of our children with special needs. I, as well as others, are tired of our kids being bullied and sorted out for being different. There was an incident at my son's school, Alexander K, McClure Elementary, involving my son and the gym teacher, which ultimately lead to my son being arrested. It all started with another student bumping and provoking him in line while awaiting instructions from the teacher. My son went to alert the teacher about what was going on, but the teacher neglected his call for help. The STS worker assigned to help Berwin was not contacted when the situation started. That would have prevented what happened between my son and the teacher. The teacher further provoked Berwin by yelling at him while shoving him into the wall, calling him crazy and pushing him out of the gym room. It could have been handled better by the teacher by simply hearing Berwin's cry for help. I would like to have a principal who take all matters seriously and who listens to their students as well as the teacher. We need all parents to come join us in trying to get a better principal, which will mean a better school for our children. Please, let's be heard and make a change. We need better principals. Right now, I'm homeschooling my son because he was close to taking his life. Already he almost was charged with a felony for defending himself... I ask let's unite and make a difference for our kids. we need cameras in all schools world wide in each and every 1 of the classrooms & we need more security.if we unite we can do this all over the world , hopefully we can make this happen not just in philadelphia but all over the world.

  • Urge Mayor Bloomberg to reimburse City Employees
On 10/18/12 a NYC notification was issued suspending all MTA subway & commuter rails citywide effective 10/28/12 @ 7pm & MTA bus service as of 9pm. Due to the citywide shutdown & our place of business being without power until 11/3/12, the majority of city employees could not report to their work locations. No contingency plans were in place. Subsequently annual leave time has been reduced. Mayor Bloomberg has the chance to act in a humanitarian capacity & recognize the impact this unprecedented storm had on the city, in which a State of Emergency was declared, closing major roadways, bridges & tunnels. We are calling on the Mayor to do what is right & at least excuse employees the day of the storm 10/29/12 & the day after the storm 10/30/12. Furthermore, any tri state residents adversely impacted by Hurricane Sandy should have their annual leave reviewed on a case by case basis.
