@SenSanders, @SenWarren: Back @JoaquinCastrotx, nix Israel bomb dealStand with HFAC Member Joaquin Castro in expressing serious concerns about the timing of Biden's weapons deal with Israel & the message it will send about the urgency of a ceasefire. Question the legality of Israel’s military strikes that have killed civilians in Gaza. Re-New the Lease for La Conner Baseball FieldThis petition is a result of difficulty for sports parents to attend a Tuesday night meeting of the La Conner Town Council. We are glad to know the town is interested in continuing the lease with Hedlin Farms for the baseball diamond, and welcome the request to show local support from people who do use the field for: 1. Baseball Practice (2 coach pitch and 2 kid-pitch minor teams in 2014; there is also one softball team in town for elementary girls) 2. Baseball Games 2. Frisbee with their dog 3. Walking 4. Picnics on sunny days 5. Volunteer opportunity for high school students who are required to serve our community to satisfy graduation requirements. 6. Playing catch with Dad 7. Community Pride As each year, local community members rise to the task of volunteering to cut the grass, sweep the field, lime the field, maintain to the best of our ability the declining dugouts, and are most grateful for the use of a Porta-Potty which has been provided by the town for the duration of the season. The purpose of this petition is to be able to show the La Conner Town Council of local public interest in keeping the lease of the field. As of January 27, 2015, the town has budgeted $4.5K for the lease of the field. Hedlin Farms requests $7K for the lease of the field and parking space. This lot is in a prime location on Maple Street in the town of La Conner. The town respectfully requested notification of Public Interest in retaining the field. Disclosure: The petitioner, Amylynn Richards, sponsored two little league teams last year and photographed the teams as a business entity. The loss of this field would not cause detriment to her business as the cost of sponsorship outweighed financial gain from the La Conner teams. The petitioner believes in the positive benefits of sports for children, and the civic pride it brings to communities such as our own. Ten Reasons Why Sports Are Great For Kids 1. Playing sports is fun. It gives your child something to do and a group to belong to. They have a group of friends that has the same goals and interests. 2. Research has found that kids that play sports, especially girls, are more likely to have a positive body image and higher self-esteem. They also are less likely to be overweight. 3. Kids involved in sports are less likely to take drugs or smoke because they realize the impact that these destructive activities can have upon their performance. Girls who play sports are also less likely to become pregnant. 4. Physical activities are a good way to relieve stress and reduce depression. 5. Sports help kids develop discipline. They learn to set goals and then work to achieve those goals. They learn that by working hard they can accomplish the things that they want to in their lives. 6. Kids who play sports quickly learn that sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. They learn to be a good sport in both situations. It also helps them learn to deal with disappointment and go on. 7. Statistics show that kids who are involved in sports while in high school are more likely to experience academic success and graduate from high school. 8. Sports help develop teamwork and leadership skills. Kids quickly learn that they have to work together as a team to win the game. 9. Motor skills, strategic thinking, and even math skills are learned by playing sports. Students develop strategic thinking as they figure out plays and the best way to get around a player or score a goal. Math skills are used as they calculate scores and stats. 10. Regular exercise increases quality of life. Children who exercise are more likely to continue the practice into adulthood. Whatever way you look at it sports benefits your child. (Source: http://www.families.com/blog/10-benefits-of-playing-sports)( If the La Conner baseball teams lost the field, the children would still be allowed to form teams with the South Skagit Little League, however many children would not be able to participate due to the location of the alternate field: Bakerview Fields, which is on the far side of Mount Vernon, on the Sedro-Woolley side. The fields are approximately 40 minutes from town. The majority of our parents work and would be unable to return to town to take their children to Bakerview. Thank you for your support of the La Conner baseball field.32 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Amylynn Richards

EXONERATION FOR MY GRANDSON DEMETRIUSHe was accused of Attempted Carjacking of an 8 year old Buick la sabra. Listed below is a list of suppose allegations: • The alleged Crime happened on 10-13-2010. • On 11-23-2010 my Grandson was walking home from school to have lunch. He was stopped by police who told him that they were taking him in for questioning. • Demetrius was interrogated and terrorized for 10 hours without food, water, and no use of restroom. Law enforcement then proceeded to arrest Demetrius without presence of parent or legal counsel. Demetrius was only 16 years old. • Demetrius’ families are hardworking people. Their son didn’t deserve to be set up by a man who is dishonest and living off the state. • This act was done out of racism to which this accuser received favoritism because of his political last name. (His last is__________________). • Demetrius had no criminal record or gang affiliation. • Demetrius lived in Moreno Valley, California for 4 months with his father. • The lack of Justice changed Demetrius’ life forever. Demetrius will never go to his High School prom, or Graduate from High School with his class of 2012 all for a crime that never happened. • He has earned his G.E.D which is not the same. There is nothing anyone can do to replace the years taken from Demetrius. He is a good kid with no Criminal record. He should not have been sent to prison. My question to you is why are our young African American males sent to Prison without committing a crime? Without evidence to prove a Crime was even committed. Demetrius has been locked up for 4 years. Read on and you will see how he was set up. The accuser was a 48 year old man that weighed about 300 pounds. This man said his attacker was 5 ft., 7in tall, weighing 120lb. The alleged crime happened in Moreno Valley Ca. The Night Demetrius was arrested per the Police report, Demetrius was 5 ft., 10 in tall. The accuser has influence in Moreno Valley Ca. his Sister was on the City Council in Moreno Valley. Currently she is being investigated by the FBI for Bribery. The citizens of Moreno Valley petitioned to get her recalled. She was recalled November 2014. These are some of the people that are protecting the accuser and covering up for him. The accuser told the D.A. that He wanted Demetrius tried as an Adult and sent to Prison. The D.A. Paul Zellerbach did exactly what he was told to do by the accuser. The D.A. was voted out of office in June 2014. The Accuser said Demetrius pulled a gun on him and asked for his car keys. The accuser said he wrestled the gun from Demetrius during the struggle. Demetrius’ shoes fell off his feet and red cap fell of his head. When the gun was sent to the Lab for testing, no evidence was found including no D.N.A. or fingerprints from the accuser or Demetrius. Obviously this man (accuser) is hiding something and the gun was wiped clean. He is also known to use alias names to benefit his self for status. The shoes that the Accuser said fell off Demetrius’ feet were size 10.5. 4 years later, Demetrius wears a size 9.5 shoe. The cops never measured his feet. I NEED RIVERSIDE COUNTY TO EXPLAIN Why Demetrius didn’t receive JUSTICE? I will not stop until I get an ANSWER. The Red Cap was placed into evidence to represent gang affiliation, the Riverside Co. gang task force check Orange Co, San Bernardino Co, Los Angeles Co, and Riverside Co. there was no evidence found to link Demetrius to gang affiliation, there were no evidence to link him to the alleged crime that night. Does evidence still matter in the Justice System? when you are sending 16 year old child to Prison. Please sign the PETITION to get DEMETRIUS EXONERATED. He doesn’t deserve to come home on probation, with a felony, can’t go to college, or get a job, let him be free, Demetrius has been in Modern Day Slavery for 4 years. To the people that took away his freedom remember the Bible said vengeance is mine said the Lord.57 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ida

An Easier EconomyRecognizing that the United States presently has more oil than Saudi Arabia and more natural gas than the planet available through the use of hydraulic fracking, and commercially viable resources in public lands... And that, Americans are sick of using declining wages, benefits, and longer hours to try and compete with China, India or Europe... We the hereby petition the Congress, the Senate and the President, Democrats and Republicans, to stop acting like little kids over wedge and budgetary issues, quit screwing around with birth control, stop fighting over declining national wealth and go get more of it, by adopting this common sense national policy to bring a lot of money into the country so we can a competitive edge over world markets through energy and water prices and not falling wages. 1) We want the government to policies in place to lower the national consumption of petroleum and refined petroleum products by 50%, balancing our current use with our current production. Even if we all do not agree on global warming, we want bipartisan support of the President's efforts to increase efficiency and lower the domestic use of fossil fuels, particularly petroleum, wherever possible. We want continued investment in research for batteries and other technologies to improve both the cost and adoption of electric cars and trucks, and we want an even field for rail versus highways in populated areas, and other technologies to reduce domestic consumption. 2. We want the congress and the administration to agree to some compromise on the balanced budget, and have it be balanced within 4 years - like Bill Clinton and Newt Gingrich did. 3. We want the government to operate, through contractors, as is done in other nations, drilling and oil recovery in environmentally sensitive areas and to sell that oil on world markets to help further balance the budget, and to provide for basic services to help our people. We want the government, perhaps by using phony printed money from the federal reserve bank, offer loans for the development of private sector fracking, and pipelines to refineries to support it, for the development of additional export opportunities. 4. To finance and mandate the replacement all coal plants with nuclear power of a single standardized design. In the very least, TVA should be entirely nuclear, and electricity for the average American should be no more than 3-5 cents per kw, and 1 cent for manufacturers and data centers. These rates are achievable if the government makes low cost federal reserve loans to utility operators nationwide. 4) We also want investment in the research of using nuclear power plants for desalination. America has a huge and looming shortage of water problem that also undermines our competitiveness. Given that the UN and other greenies have said that the world overall is short on fresh water, setting ourselves up to be the only country on the block that has plenty of it is a pretty smart move. 5) Revenues from sales of federal oil, and baseload generation from TVA should be used to not expand entitlements but to provide short term help and long term investment in America's youth, and our future. These include some student loan debt forgiveness, neighborhood and parks construction, not just practical things but making our cities attractive so as to encourage the best and brightest from around the world to bring their brains, muscle and above all, capital, to the USA. We want cheap water, sidewalks fixed, street lights that work, schools that are not falling apart, beaches and forests that are not filled with trash, highways and bridges that actually get enduring fixes and parks where the swings aren't broken and pools actually open during the summer in American cities. Dear Government, the USA has money, sitting in the ground. It has the capital, in the Federal Reserve, whose dollars are effectively backed by that oil. Let's go get that oil and gas, stop using so much of it ourselves, switch over to nuclear power, get our fiscal books in order, and start investing properly in America. With a richer quality of life in cities, a lower energy cost, America will be not a declining power, but the most competitive and safest spot on the planet to do business.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Todd Bandrowsky
