This petition is on the behalf of Andrew Carl Beach, his parents, his family members, many friends, academic colleagues and all the other citizens of Alabama who travel on on state roadways daily with the expectation that they and members of their families will leave home and return safely. We believe that prosecution and sentencing, commensurate to the seriousness of this crime, will serve as a deterrent to such outrageously hazardous criminal conduct of choice that resulted in Andrew's death and will help to prevent other families from experiencing such an unimaginable loss.

The sanctuary is home to 104 bears that have been rescued from a life of torture on bear bile farms. A relocation would have devastating affects on the welfare of the bears - mentally and physically. I support Animals Asia’s appeal against the eviction of its Bear Rescue Center from Tam Dao National Park and appeal to you as Prime Minister to overturn the Ministry of Defense eviction order. Please honor the original agreement between the Vietnamese government and Animals Asia and allow the rescue center to continue operating on its existing site and expand in order to accommodate 200 bears, as originally agreed.

We, the parents of INIC, are requesting an alignment of teacher’s benefits with those of Austin ISD and a confirmation of teacher’s tuition discount. Per the INIC Parent Handbook, many of INIC’s current policies are aligned with Austin ISD and we are requesting teacher pay and benefits also meet those standards. We are opposed to the sudden implementation of any changes to benefits, without adequate time for teachers to financially prepare for the impact these changes may take on their livelihood. At minimum, we are requesting: -Increasing pay for any teacher making below Austin’s current living wage ($20.80/hr or $43,264.00). -Align sick day and personal days policy with Austin ISD (5 personal days, 6 sick days; 11 days. -Guarantee full pay for non-holiday days for which the school is closed (e.g. Winter Break, Day after Thanksgiving, etc.) -Removing the requirement of a doctor’s note for returning to work after a sick day. -Guarantee a set percentage (%) discount tuition for teacher’s children attending INIC from the start of the school year. -Align changes in pay/benefits with changes in tuition (minimum number of days notice). Require any changes in pay structure, discounted tuition benefits, leave benefits be communicated at least 90 days prior to implementation/requiring signature from employees.

Please abolish the new STAARS state mandated test our children are being left behind. Our children are suppose to be our future, we are suppose to teach them well and let them lead the way. Please before the drop out rate begins with 3-12 grade.

I, a North Saanich resident and/or owner, urge the District of North Saanich council, to pass the Sandown proposal that is presently before council. I urge the mayor and council to support the key terms of the proposal, namely: 1. Gift of 83 acres of Sandown lands to the District; 2. Retention by the owner and rezoning of 12 acres for commercial development; 3. Inclusion of 12 acres of adjacent municipal land with the 83 acres in the ALR to compensate for removal of 12 acres for commercial use. Further, I understand that all necessary land improvement costs will be financed from new tax revenue, generated from the 12-acre commercial component. I urge the District of North Saanich council to move forward and approve this thoughtful, sustainable proposal immediately to ensure that agriculture in perpetuity remains the primary purpose of the Sandown lands.

Two days after Nurses represented by CRONA at Stanford’s children's and adult hospitals provided a strike notice, executives announced they would cut off health benefits for striking workers. The Stanford hospitals could maintain benefits, but have chosen to use benefits as a weapon to punish Nurses for standing up for ourselves and our patients. CEOs David Entwistle and Paul King must reverse course and retract this threat.

I have lived in Worcester County since 2007 and have been an active firefighter/EMT and have witnessed many really bad and even fatal accidents in the past year alone. There needs to be an overpass, a traffic circle or a traffic light to take place of the caution light now in place. This light has done nothing to prevent deaths and injuries. We need more there to stop the tragic accidents from happening. It is time now for more drastic measures to take place and find a resolution that will work before more lives are lost.
