A house of worship is a sacred place for people of all faiths. It is an unspeakable tragedy to see two mosques be so horrifically violated. In the wake of this heartbreaking, anti-Muslim mass slaughter, it is clear that more needs to be done to protect Muslims and all vulnerable communities from the very real dangers posed by hate and white nationalists. Thoughts and prayers are simply an inadequate response to this horrific attack. It is time for President Trump, elected officials, law enforcement and tech companies to act.

Remove from office any legislator up to and including the Governor of the state of New Mexico who votes in the legislative process to violate their oath of office by voting to restrict law abiding citizens of the State of New Mexico their rights as enumerated in the bill of rights of the Constitution of the United States. Those rights include the Second Amendment as bound over on the state by Supreme court rulings such as McDonald vs Chicago, and the Heller Decision guaranteeing those rights as individual and inalienable rights.

Dear Representative, I urge you to oppose Donald Trump’s request for extension of Fast Track trade promotion authority and a renegotiated North American Free Trade Agreement. Fast Track delegates congressional prerogatives to a White House and a U.S. Trade Representative’s office that has been captured by global agri-business, chemical, pesticide, and biotech companies, among others. A vote for Fast Track is a vote for a new NAFTA deal -- sight unseen. Trump’s new NAFTA is sure to undermine environmental, public health and food safeguards across North America and in our state. Pass NYS Senate Bill S6428 and Assembly Bill A8401 which provides for the establishment of a sexual assault survivor bill of rights by the department of health, in consultation with the division of criminal justice services and department of law. It also does the following: Directs the department of health to conduct a study on the maintenance of sexual offense evidence kits. Provides the right to consult with and be accompanied by a victim assistance organization during physical exams and interrogations. Provides the right to preventive treatment for HIV. Provides the right to notice about the results of the sexual assault evidence kit and the status of their case. Directs police and prosecutors to implement policies to implement such rights. Directs the division of criminal justice services to study the feasibility of establishing a statewide sexual assault evidence kit tracking system
