Send Senator Daniel McCay to El Salvador
On April 22, 2025, Senator Daniel McCay (R-Utah) made some claims. He said that housing a federal prisoners costs $80k per year, but in El Salvador it costs $20k per year. He did not offer any sources for either of these numbers.
He then went on to suggest that we should send our prisoners, US citizens, to El Salvador, off US soil, a dangerous and frankly treasonous suggestion for a representative of the American people, to make.
However, I want to be fair. Since Senator McCay is so worried about funds, I would like to personally suggest an alternative that would help him to save his own: let's send Senator Daniel McCay to El Salvador!
