Support Save an Afghan LGBTQ+ Journalist in Harm
An intrepid Afghan reporter and LGBTQ+ campaigner is currently under danger. Simply for being who they are and for speaking out for others, they left their house to avoid threats and violence. 🗣️✊
Although they thought they would discover safety, they are nevertheless imprisoned in a place where it is not safe to live openly as LGBTQ+. Today, they are terrified and at risk of deportation alone. 😭
This individual has behaved perfectly. Through the appropriate channels, they have requested assistance; nevertheless, the system is sluggish and time is running out.
We are requesting immediate action:
• Accelerate their resettlement process. ⚡
• Halt any probability of repatriation 🙅♂️
• Allow them to live honorably and securely. 🕊️
Nobody should be punished for just being themselves. No one should be afraid because of who they love or who they are. ❤️🏳️🌈
