During his second term, Trump has taken unprecedented action to seize control over our elections.
But as we all know, the president doesn’t have a say over our election processes. State election officials do.
Secretaries of state are the elected officials who stand between the will of the people being upheld and self-serving politicians overriding us to control the outcome.

North Carolina residents are demanding that the North Carolina Secretary of State publicly commit to doing everything in their power to uphold the will of the people.
Why is this important?
Trump wants to rewrite the past and sow doubt about our elections to lay the groundwork to contest November’s midterm elections and seize control over future elections.
There are checks and balances in our country for a reason. Local leaders run our elections—not the president. Only an authoritarian would attempt to seize control of our elections in order to control the outcome.
That’s why it’s so important that the North Carolina Secretary of State join other secretaries of states across the country and double down and commit to overseeing a free and fair election. And they need to know North Carolina constituents are watching and support them in upholding the law. They are, after all, elected to serve the people, not the president.
