WOMENS RIGHTS

Hello everyone,
If you’ve decided to read this petition it’s because you are for WOMEN having RIGHTS! This petition, I’m hopeful will make it to the Supreme Courts and they will see and understand that NOT ALL women have the same bodies or circumstances when it comes to “having children.” It is so true when you hear, “My body, my choice.” Now, before you jump on one from reading that, hear me out and understand I come from this whole heartedly. Women SHOULD have a choice or not to seek medical attention. To have the options! Many women experienced the heartaches of losing their children, to birthing beautiful babies, some have other reasons as to why things happen. Now onto my point of, Roe vs. Wade. It’s already starting the trickling affect from state to state. If we do not stand up now and speak our voices, we will never be heard! I’m aware this is a touchy subject for hundreds and thousands of women and men, yes I said MEN too. This plays a huge factor into our Amendments, the womens rights. Clearly, they have forgotten what our forefathers have brought to the table so let me be the one to remind them. “The Equal Rights Amendment was first drafted in 1923 by two leaders of the women’s suffrage movement, Alice Paul and Crystal Eastman. While the text of the amendment has changed over the years, the gist of it has remained the same. The version approved by Congress in 1972 and sent to the states reads:
“Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex. The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.” Now, with ALL of this being said, I want you to think about yourself, your mother, your grandmother, aunt, sister, daughter.. think of all of them. If they are still here ask them how their birthing went, ask them about the medical treatments they received to possibly SAVE THEIR LIVES. The most famous question asked today, “if not now, when?” When does this stop? When do women actually get to speak for themselves and have a voice that is truly heard. Let’s bring a case from Ginsburg into this, it started back in 1972, when a USAF Woman became pregnant. Let’s make this a short story, it continued to 1993, During her 1993 confirmation hearings, Ginsburg commented on the Air Force case, saying, “One thing that conspicuously distinguishes women from men is that only women become pregnant. And if you subject a woman to disadvantageous treatment on the basis of her pregnant status, which was what was happening to Captain Struck, you would be denying her equal treatment under the law." She continued, "The argument was it's her right to decide either way, her right to decide whether or not to bear a child ... This is something central to a woman's life, to her dignity. It is a decision she must make for herself. And when the government controls that decision for her, she is being treated as less than a full adult human responsible for her own choices." Now with all of this being said, I hope you take the time, take all of everything into consideration that has been said, and help me, help the millions of other women out there and be the voice, BE THE CHANGE!

Why is this important?

I truly believe that millions of others will read this, and I pray they help me become the change our entire world needs. This isn’t just affecting one individual, it’s taking a toll on MILLIONS! Millions of women deserve to have their rights, and when our voices aren’t heard it just brings us back to a repeating pattern. If we want our world to change for the better then we need to start speaking up. It’s about babies, it’s about women whom were once babies also, and their needs for medical attention and care. It’s about bringing and keeping life on this earth and making it safe for EVERYONE involved. Please, take the time, ask a female who is close to you if she’s had a child or what her experience was like. Some of the stories you’ll hear you’ll be amazed that some are even alive to tell their stories. Please take into consideration that this isn’t a easy task, and this is life changing circumstances for EVERYONE.
