Fire Musk and DOGE
To President Trump: The public does NOT approve of your use of Elon Musk and DOGE as an extension of the president's office. We assert that Musk/DOGE's involvment is unconstitutional presidential overreach and causing unnecessary risk, expense, and strive for the American people.
Reminder that Congress approves federal budgets and the President does not have the authority to cancel previously approved spending. Instead, new legislation must be prepared and approved by Congress to alter the structure of the federal government and its budgets. Congress never approved of a DOGE mechanism. Musk was not elected and holds no official federal position. Musk and the DOGE team should not have access to sensitive data of the American population. OPM does not have authority to fire anyone. And DOGE clearly do not know what they are doing - firing federal workers and cancelling leases arbitrarily. Workers with good performance reviews (including those recently promoted) can not legally be fired for performance reasons. DOGE's "cost cutting" is a big lie and the public knows this. DOGE's actions continued to generate expensive lawsuits and liability that the American taxpayers do not agree to cover. The stock market is tanking. Consumer confidence has plummetted. So many protests at Tesla shops. Face it, Musk/DOGE has reduced your popularity and has embarrassed this entire nation.
The signers of this petition ask that you 1) immediately fire Elon Musk and the DOGE team; and 2) immediately rectify all illegal federal spending cuts which resulted from DOGE's actions.

Why is this important?
In the end, the courts will prove us right. Musk and DOGE's involvment is illegal, unconstitutional, causing distruction of core federal programs, and creating risk and liability for the tax payers to cover the cost of litigation and payment delays. We know court action will take too long and that is part of Trump's plan.
