Hair Salons/One Client At A Time (Soft Opening April 27th) In North Carolina

Allow a licensed beauty professional to perform a beauty service/ privately with one client in the salon / per stylist at a time Starting as of Monday, April 27, 2020. All necessary precautions and sanitation protocols approved by the state of NC and the local Board of Health will be followed. Because NC is one of the toughest boards to pass in USA and is 85% sanitation based testing we believe we are fully capable of providing the correct safety standards to keep our clients and ourselves safe. Our industry needs to be recognized & deemed as an essential business so we can better serve our community.
Servicing one client at a time (while wearing a mask & gloves) poses little to no risk of spreading the virus, as compared to 20 or more people in a grocery store or 10 plus people at restaurants picking up food.We have been given the necessary tools from our NC Cosmetic and Barber Boards to feel confident in beginning to work staring April 27,2020.

Why is this important?

The survival of the independent beauty professionals is at risk. We are facing a grave financial hardship. Most of our licensed individuals are considered 1099 and are being denied unemployment and are not qualifying for SBA loans in NC.
