KU: Immediately Adopt a ZERO TOLERANCE Policy for Sexual Assault on Campus to COMPLY w/ TITLE IX

Dear Chancellor, Provost, Vice Provost, Student Senators, Graduate Student Senators, Faculty Senators, Student Body President, Student Body Vice President, and Government of the University of Kansas:
This is a request for the University of Kansas to adopt a Zero Tolerance policy for sexual assault on campus in order to meet standards of protection for students in order to comply with federal requirements under Title IX. I include several links to policies already adopted on other state and private campuses:

We are asking, at minimum, that people convicted of assault or partner abuse are removed from the campus immediately. We ask for the adoption of "Tracy's Rule" for all of our athletics teams. We ask the university to consider adopting the CALLISTO sexual assault prevention software program. We ask for people credibly accused of assault to be suspended and/or banned from campus / only allowed to attend class online until they are cleared or the investigation is dropped for lack of evidence.
Furthermore, we are requesting that all employees at the University of Kansas receive detailed training in procedures of mandated reporting.
As you all know, KU has suffered a recent wave of sexual assaults on the campus and protests at
a local fraternity have ensued. Adopting such a Zero Tolerance Policy will reassure the student body and ensure the University of Kansas correctly complies with Title IX. It will protect all people involved in an assault investigation and all students on campus.
Thank you,
Jennifer Nielsen, Graduate Student Senator on Behalf of All Concerned and Protesting Students at the University of Kansas and All Signers of this Petition

Why is this important?
This is a request for the University of Kansas to adopt a Zero Tolerance policy for sexual harassment on campus in order to meet standards of protection for students in order to comply with federal requirements under Title IX. There has been a wave of assaults on campus. Students are protesting, surrounding Chancellor Girod's office and the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, asking for change. Our current policies do not deliver justice or adequately protect vulnerable students on campus.
We are asking, at minimum, that people convicted of assault are removed from the campus. We ask for the adoption of "Tracy's Rule." And we ask the university to consider adopting the CALLISTO sexual assault prevention software program. We ask for people credibly accused of assault to be suspended and/or banned from campus and attending online until they are cleared or the investigation is dropped for lack of evidence.

Furthermore, we are requesting that all employees at the University of Kansas receive mandatory detailed training in procedures of mandated reporting in order to comply with Title IX.
