Martial Law...?
Respond immediately and strongly to President Trump's speech of 6/1/20 putting the President on notice that his proposed use of military force and the overriding of State authority is illegal (posse comitatus) and will not be tolerated. Mr. Trump cannot overstep his legal authority to "restore order" in the face of civil unrest which is sanctioned in the 1st Amendment. This is a dangerous escalation in his political agenda and must be strongly opposed.
Why is this important?
Trumps proposal to use military force and supersede State authority amounts to an informal declaration of martial law. We unit show overwhelming opposition to this if we hope to preserve American democracy.
