  • Say No to Wawa and Tractor Supply Co at Rt. 73 and Kresson Rd., Voorhees
The construction of a 24/7 Super Wawa and Tractor Supply Co store at the corner of Rt 73 and Kresson Road is under consideration by the Voorhees Township Planning Board. The Planning Board would need to grant between 20-30 variances for the project to move forward. This includes adding a 3-lane exit/entryway onto Kresson Road near the busy route 73 intersection. Many residents are concerned about this undesirable and potentially dangerous development. Please let Mayor MICHAEL MIGNOGNA and Planning Board members: Tom Fanelli, Subash Rashatwar, Kelly Jo Stroemel, Jason Ravitz, Mario DiNatale, Brett Waters, Anthony Nicini, Vaughn Vandegrift, and Michelle Nocito know that you are AGAINST it.

  • New York State Voter Registration Form Misled Voters!
The instructions on the New York State Voter Registration Form clearly states that New Yorkers who changed their party affiliation between October 9, 2015, and March 25, 2016, are allowed to vote in the April 19 Presidential Primary Election. While it is true that there is an old, obtuse, restrictive law on the books in New York State that says they can't vote, it is so obtuse that employees at the Board of Elections have gotten confused and given out incorrect information on this point - and even the Voter Registration Form misstated the law. Voters shouldn't be penalized for relying on the instructions contained in the Voter Registration Form and on statements made by employees of the Board of Elections. Let them vote on April 19!

  • Call upon & Urge the Ethiopian Government to step down immediately!
The illegitimate Ethiopian Government that was never ever elected democratically, rules for the last 25 years. The Dictatorial Ethiopian Government continues Violating Respect of Humans' Rights, abusing Freedom, killing civilians and students, and imprisoning thousands of political conscious! The Ethiopian Government shows records of double speed Economy growth yet was not able to save 15 million Ethiopians and their livestock, despite early warnings in the name of alleged and fake development. No doubt this is considered a genocidal and ethnic cleansing planned systematically long ago. Today, this very moment, intimidation, abductions and killings of infants, pregnant women, children, students and of old and weak people continues at the tolerance of the Ethiopians and of the whole civilized nations pretending deaf and blind!

  • TERMINATE CONTRACT WITH CENTERPLATE DUE TO CEO ANIMAL ABUSE
http://wtnh.com/2014/08/25/stamford-ceo-seen-kicking-a-dog-in-elevator/ The individual abusing the dog is the CEO of a food and beverage company called CenterPlate. CenterPlate operates the concession stands in various locations (see http://www.centerplate.com/venue-partners/) , including the concessions of the Tampa Bay Rays. The Rays response to this is that they are sure that CenterPlate will handle it appropriately. In other words, the Rays management sees no reason to respond. Perhaps the fans need to show the management of the Tampa Bay Rays that animal abuse is not to be ignored by boycotting the concession stands. CenterPlate needs to kick their CEO to the curb fast. If not, those that use CenterPlate services need to act - not trivialize animal abuse as the Tampa Bay Rays management did.

  • Stop Speeding on Durham Ave in Metuchen from Main Street to Central Avenue
Vehicles exceed the posted speed limit of 25 mph on Durham Avenue between Main Street and Central Avenue in Metuchen, typically traveling at 30 to 45 mph, and sometimes higher. The Campbell Elementary school, children, and pets reside on Durham Ave between Main Street and Central Avenue. We would like to take preventative action before the loss of life- animal and human. We propose the following; 1) A speed bump in front of the Campbell Elementary school 2) A four way stop sign at the intersection of Center Street and Durham Ave 3) A speed bump within the legal limit on Durham Ave between Martin Street and before the light on Central Ave. Thank you !

  • Hillsborough TWP Committee: Continue Virtual Meetings
Hillsborough Township Committee decided on Tuesday, May 25 to discontinue the use of Zoom for committee meetings. The COVID-19 Pandemic taught us that virtual meetings are a viable option for participation in many scenarios. Cutting off public participation from home sends a clear message to those that may not have the ability to travel to the municipal building that their voices won’t be heard. Instead of moving with the digital times, the committee decided to allow write-in remarks that will be read aloud. While the words will be heard, the voice and the emotion will not. We are asking all Hillsborough residents to sign this petition urging the committee to continue with the Zoom meetings indefinitely so all township members have an option to participate in our local government.

  • Save our Green Space, Sky and Light in Royal Oak Neighborhoods
We the people vote to save the green spaces, open sky views in our neighborhood by saying "No" to the appeal of Jocelyn Robelli & Joshua Droppers of multiple variances (six) being requested for the property at 801 N. Alexander Ave. (25-15-402-007) The Zoning Rules are in place to protect the green spaces, the environment and to create a positive atmosphere for the citizens who call Royal Oak their home. The Variances that are being requested are extremely excessive and will obstruct the sun and sky from surrounding homes. They will increase the amount of Impervious surfaces - creating a higher risk of flooding on our street. We ask that city takes a stand for what is right for the people and the planet, and uphold the Zoning Codes in place.
