A bill to reinforce the original FCC rules which require those who obtain free broadcast licenses, from the people of the USA, be required to operate "in the public interest", also to give "free equal time" to opposing opinions. That the number of stations owned by one set of financial interests in any one market be limited to one. And that the total in the United States owned by any financial group be limited to 12. That no financial entity, owned more than 5% by foreign holders, be allowed to operate stations or networks. That "newscasts" not contain political messages.

Let's "defund" Congress until they stop this nonsense of the shutdown. Why should they get paid when they aren't doing their jobs - funding the government? We, the undersigned, demand that charges be filed against the Cleveland police officers responsible for the death of 12-year-old Tamir Rice. Tamir was innocently minding his own business in a public picnic shelter at Cudell Recreation Center on November 22, 2014, when a police squad car driven by Officer Frank Gramback suddenly descended upon him and Officer Timothy Loehmann fired two shots in 0.792 seconds, hitting Tamir in the stomach. Unless police are held accountable for such unwarranted use of deadly force, there is no question that tragedies like this will continue to happen.

The federal government, at the initiative of the President should buy, expropriate, or acquire the site of the massacre at Wounded Knee and turn it into a monument. The United States has since its inception carried out a racist Holocaust against Native Americans, broken the treaties it made, confiscated land, destroyed a culture, and herded free and ancient peoples into concentration camps called reservations where they reside to this day. These crimes against humanity are a record of shame that stains the flag and identity of the United States. To allow it to be commercially developed and not preserved as a memorial would be yet another stain.

We do not support the annexation of the woodland acres from the County to the City. Further, we do not want the City to take control from the County the entry into Mission Canyon from the bridge to Puesta del Sol or an Easement for Las Encinas Road annexed to the City.
