Modifying our Banking SystemAmendment XXVIII The Constitution of the United States is hereby amended as follows: 1. The Federal Reserve Bank will no longer create the money of the United States and regulate it's value by any means whatsoever. The function of creating all money and other securities of the United States will revert back to congress as specified in Article I, Section 8[5] of the U.S. Constitution and the United States government will spend this money directly into the economy as needed, without borrowing funds at interest, for purchases necessary for the health and welfare of the nation as determined by congress. 2. The practices of Fractional Reserve Lending, the charging of compound interest for loans of any kind and the Federal Reserve Bonding process is hereby prohibited. (This is "bare bones" but I think you get the drift of it and I'd be happy to work with others to polish it as needed.) Governor Patrick: Ask MassDOT to Create a Cogent Transportation Routing Plan for MassachusettsWe, the undersigned, ask the Governor's support in working with the Secretary of Transportation to consider all aspects of the effects that the truck ban through the City of Boston will have to both citizens and commerce. The 9-mile route through Boston would become a 52-mile route around the city and with diesel fuel expected to exceed $5 per gallon by this summer the impact on transportation of gasoline, diesel fuel, and heating oil could top $100,000,000 in additional transportation costs. The impact on public safety departments in the affected cities and towns, already decimated by significant budget constraints, could result in tragic circumstances if they are unable to respond when needed. The access to public water supplies that routing around Boston would create, is also a significant concern should an accident occur where there is a release of hazardous materials that may result in the pollution of thousands of citizens' drinking water. The transportation of hazardous materials requires a regional solution, not a piecemeal solution--one town at a time.203 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Jillian Zywien

Help New York City Bed and Breakfasts Stay Open for BusinessI support StayNYC and the right for New York City Bed and Breakfasts to stay open for business. Established Bed & Breakfasts (B&B’s) within NYC have been made unintended targets for closure due to state law Ch. 225 of 2010, which prohibits stays of less than 30 days in all Class A buildings. The State law only affects the 5 boroughs of New York City. B&B’s are now subject to inspections by the Mayor's Office of Special Enforcement Task Force. As a result, several legitimate, hotel and sales tax compliant B&B's have closed. StayNYC is advocating for an exemption to the law for a specific class of small facilities operators in New York City. The warmth, comfort and personalized service of B&B’s can be found in virtually every corner of the globe. With a record 50 million visitors per year, New York City needs to offer that option as well.3,656 of 4,000 SignaturesCreated by Josh

Tumblr: Bring Back Our Unlimited Posts and MessagesFirst Tumblr was eating our messages when there were too many punctuation marks in them, then it was eating our messages when we tried to send someone a link. Now Tumblr has lowered its' members not only to 5 sent message hourly limit, but we are only able to make 100 text posts per day and 75 picture posts. Tumblr members' who spend a lot of time daily on the site do not think this is fair. How does limiting loyal and active users like this make any sense? How is it fair for Tumblr to have its' users rise up against acts like SOPA and the like, but limit and censor its' users' messages and daily posting amounts? Let's get as many Tumblr users as we can to sign this petition and get this problem fixed! We want our unlimited posts and messages back!1,240 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Brittany Rose
