I OPPOSE THE CONSTRUCTION OF NATURAL GAS PIPELINES THROUGH THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY AND THE PINELANDS. Pipelines in the Pinelands violate the rules of the Pinelands and will cause significant damage to the surrounding ecosystems. Pipelines throughout New Jersey must be stopped. They will increase our dependence on fossil fuels, further accelerate climate change, and put the health and safety of our communities at risk. Instead of constructing more fossil fuel infrastructure in New Jersey we should be rapidly and justly transitioning to 100% renewable energy, a clean alternative that could create stable jobs for New Jersey.

CNN, MSNBC and other major media are 'devoting' their full time to covering every possible bit of the Newtown killings and its after effects. They are not covering any other news.Perhaps there have been no bombings, no earthquakes, other news at all, good or bad. Does anyone else feel that the major news medias are milking the Newtown tragedy for everything they can get? Television news media seems to do this whenever there is a heart wrenching tragedy in the United States. Lets let them know we also want the rest of the news covered.

Steady declines in state funding have transferred more of the operating costs to students and their families with steady, steep tuition increases. Whereas the CPV Valley Energy Center project will be a new source of over two million tons of greenhouse gases in New York state; will facilitate and depend on frack fields in Pennsylvania; is predicated on fracking in New York State; and will take us on the wrong road, away from a viable and sustainable energy future which can only be obtained with a turn towards 100% renewables; we the undersigned demand that all state, local, and federal agencies reject any applications or permits for this project. We further demand full legislative hearings on this project to address the many environmental, community, and policy impacts presented by it.
