Highway Safety Corridor PetitionHighway Safety Corridor Designation Petition "We the undersigned residents of District 5, respectfully request designation of Highway Safety Corridor for New Mexico State Highway 285 from Lamy to Old Las Vegas Highway and inclusive of roadways I-25 south and Old Pecos Trail. We additionally request improved signage and law enforcement presence and urge the New Mexico State legislature to amend the legal language of the Safety Corridor designation to mandate increased Law Enforcement presence into New Mexico Safety Corridor law. There have been too many fatal or near-fatal accidents on these roadways and we make this request in the wake of the carnage and slaughter of our families, our children, and our seniors, and to protect our right to travel safely as citizens of this good State. Further, the interstate transportation of hazardous material including of Radioactive Waste and many other Hazardous materials within the NM 285 corridor increases our need for these requests to not only be taken seriously, but handled as expediently as possible."171 of 200 SignaturesCreated by David Yard

Lower Health Care Costs for Postdocs with DependentsThe monthly out-of-pocket expense of health insurance premiums for postdocs with dependents has increased by 50% since last year while expenses for postdocs without dependents have remained $0. Overall, the monthly cost of family insurance can be as high as $700, constituting 20-25% of the take home salary for Stanford postdocs. This is a point of desperation for the affected families. Regardless of our family-status, we all share the frustration of our colleagues, as they are burdened with premiums that far exceed their capacity to pay for them. We understand that the health care premiums have increased for all faculty, staff, and students, and we appreciate that the University absorbs a majority of the total health care cost for postdoctoral scholars. However, the remaining 10% of the total cost or roughly $140,000, is shouldered entirely by postdocs with dependents, a population that is especially vulnerable to increases in monthly expenses. Considering the emphasis on family-friendly policies at Stanford, we are optimistic that the university with act quickly to rectify this situation.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Koji Takahashi

STOP DENYING VETERANS BENEFITSThe VA has a program called Compensated Work Therapy (CWT), it provides Vets, who have certain issues, with a therapeutic job in order to help them continue their lives and prepare for work in the private sector. The Dayton VA has consistently denied Vets this benefit via employees not doing there jobs or finding reason to deny the Vet access to this benefit. EXAMPLE: The Bedford Ma VA has over 800 of these positions, the Houston VA has over 500 but the Dayton VA has only 25 jobs. For the past 6 years they have had only 8-10 jobs. These people consistently refuse to provide these benefits! As a result of my protests against these denials I have been ostracized and singled out for complete denial of anything other than Physical healthcare and it is time these people provided these benefits to America’s Vets. With so many returning war Vets this problem is going to be astronomical. I need your help to end these denials and fix this problem.9 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Darrell Hampton

We demand justice for Jayland WalkerJust days before July 4, police in Akron, Ohio, brutally executed Jayland Walker, a 25-year-old Black man. In solidarity with his family, the Akron community, and The Freedom BLOC, we demand transparency and accountability from Akron’s elected officials, as well as a full independent investigation. Akron's city and elected officials must immediately end the use of tear gas, pepper spray, rubber bullets and excessive force against protesters demanding justice for Jayland, and release all protesters from jail, expunge their records and eliminate all fines and fees. Akron must fund an unarmed traffic enforcement unit, a separate unit to respond to mental health calls and programs that prioritize violence prevention. The city must also invest in real, community-led public safety solutions, that keep Black communities safe, such as housing, public transportation, food security, health care, reparations and community-controlled public safety alternatives.26,332 of 30,000 SignaturesCreated by Rashad Robinson

NOISE OVER INKSTER HOMESParts of the city of Inkster lies directly underneath Detroit Metropolitian Airport landing path. Beginning as early as 4:30 a.m. planes begin their descent, the noise level is so high that it not only awaken the homeowners, it causes an excessive level of reverbration to the house and windows. The plane level is so low that one can stand in their yard and clearly see the plane logo on the bottom. According to the Wayne County Airport Authority residential 1992 Part 150 Noise Study, "the following communities of Romulus, Huron Township, Taylor, Westland, and Dearborn Heights were provided sound insulation treatments to reduce the impacts of airport noise." This program was completed and closed in 2006. Now, almost 25 years later, the city that sits abut to those cities, who were overlooked and denied services are in need of those same services. We, the undersigned residents and homeowners are requesting the FAA along with other governmental agencies join together and provide services that will increase the living standards in the City of Inkster Michigan.73 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Cresia Davis

Governor Wolf, Veto the Fiscal Code BillGovernor Wolf, The House is now considering the version of the Fiscal Code bill passed by the Senate. If Democratic environmental champions in the House don't prevail, the bill you receive for your signature will, among other things: - abrogate DEP’s conventional oil and gas regulations under chapter 78, requiring them to re-start the conventional O&G regulatory process; - transfer $12 million from the Alternative Energy Investment Act to provide grants to hospitals, businesses, economic development organizations, municipalities, counties, and school districts to expand access to natural gas infrastructure; - prohibit the funding of the DEP’s Consumer Energy Program Governor Wolf, those assaults on Pennsylvania's environment are unacceptable. We are calling on you to protect Pennsylvanians and our natural resources and veto HB 1327.1,095 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Karen Feridun

Demand Toxic Pesticide Protections!I am calling on you to do the right thing and urge the Obama Administration to strengthen the Worker Protection Standard. This Standard is a set of rules established by the Environmental Protection Agency that are supposed to ensure the safety of agricultural workers who apply pesticides, or are exposed to these chemicals in the fields. However, these critical rules have not been updated or revised for more than 20 years, despite overwhelming evidence of their inadequacy. The nation's 12 million farmworkers form the backbone of the U.S. agricultural economy and many are regularly exposed to pesticides. The federal government estimates that there are 10,000-20,000 acute pesticide poisonings among workers in the agricultural industry annually, a figure that likely understates the actual number of acute poisonings since many affected farmworkers may not seek care from a physician. This is a travesty that the Administration must address!54 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Raviya Ismail, with Earthjustice

Enough ! De-fund Congressmen who subvert democracyDonald Trump and his enablers in the Republican Party have shamelessly tried to subvert our elections with a violent coup and continuing lies about Joe Biden's election victory. Trump and the Republican Party only understand the language of money. Corporations are responding https://www.wsj.com/articles/capitol-riot-see-the-full-list-of-companies-halting-pac-donations-11610471235. As of midnight Jan 12, fourteen (14) corporations halted political donations to Republicans who objected to certifying Biden’s victory. They deserve our thanks. Corporations that have either acted with ambivalence or not acted must be pressured to act and send an unmistakable message with a laser focus on the Objectors who undermine our democracy. Demand for the Resignation of DHS Acting Secretary WolfeAs the Acting Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, you have abused your power and position as Secretary of Homeland Security, especially as you remain in an acting capacity well beyond the limit designed by federal law. We, the American people, stand in support with Representatives Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12), Jamie Raskin (MD-08), Earl Blumenauer, among many others, that we cannot continue to accept the Department’s recent use of unidentified federal agents, in [tactic] gear, patrolling in Washington, DC and Portland, Oregon in unmarked vehicles. Nor can we accept recent plans to expand this tactic to other American cities.” It is for these reasons that we demand that you step down no later than Thursday, July 30 at 11:59 PM EST.197 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Concerned Social Workers

Genocide and Human Rights Violations should not be tolerated!!!If you are born in a country with a birth certicicate to prove it, you are a citizen of that country. Right? Well, Wrong according to the Racists in the Dominican Republic. These self-proclaimed admirers of Adolf Hitler have long studied a "Final Solution" in order to expel all blacks (Haitians) from the D.R. Well, they have found it, Law 168-12, a flagrant violation of international law and human rights convention of which the Dominican Republic is a signatory, will begin the expulsion of 250,000 Dominicans, born in the D.R., simply because of their Haitian ancestry. This should not be tolerated. Sanctions must be placed on the Dominican Republic and by the international community to make it very clear to them that these flagrant human rights violations will not be tolerated and will come at a price. That is the only way to deal with bigots, racists and genocidal maniacs. If you agree, please sign. Thank You.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Patrick Saint-Jean
