  • Fossil Fuel Free Investment Option for Oregon Saves
    Oregon Saves is a great new program designed to help workers save for retirement. The only shortfall is a lack of an investment option that is divested from fossil fuels. We need Treasurer Tobias Read to offer an investment option that allows workers to invest without working against our climate goals. The Oregon Legislature could also pass a bill requiring a fossil fuel free investment option be included in the program.

The US State Department will not issue her a new passport to re-enter the US, and she is stranded in Sweden currently. ICE has made it clear they intend to arrest her upon her return. We are respectfully asking you, Honorable Mike Pompeo, to intercede on her behalf so she can come back home.

    That the Board of Nursing would hold totally impartial investigations and that all persons on trial will be able to be tried by their peers; peers who have their own cultural background and/or share their race. That the Board would not be able to add to or change charges simply because they realize that the original charges will not stick or get a conviction. That persons on trial and/or being investigated will be able to enter proof of their own innocence at any time in that process whether new information or not.

    This petition seeks to replace the discriminatory legislation passed in 2000 that essentially rendered worthless any military service that does not fall within certain arbitrarily selected time frames. It will affect many veterans residing in New York State. An override can happen as early as January 2015. This bill is important because of the statement it makes to veterans, and to those who would volunteer to serve in our military in the future, that their service is valued.
