I am a Raleigh resident, and I support Community Gardens and Urban Farms as a principle use in my residential neighborhood. By signing my name on this petition, I ask you, the Raleigh City Council, to: 1. Allow Community Gardens as a Limited Use in zone R-10, and in as many additional Residential zones as possible, in order to avoid the costs and lengthy permitting process of a Special Use Permit. (the current draft allows them only with a Special Use Permit in most Residential zones) 2. Allow Urban Farms in all Residential Zones in Raleigh with a Special Use Permit, so that individual farms can be reviewed on a site by site basis with public input. (in the current draft they are Prohibited in Residential zones)
