Stop state funding for "Crisis Pregnancy Centers"

Anyone seeking medical care should receive comprehensive, true, and unbiased information related to that care. Crisis pregnancy centers actively work to harm people seeking reproductive care by luring women into their offices and using scare tactics to dissuade women from exercising their right to choose. Last year, the number of CPCs per abortion facility was 3.2 nationally, which means that the majority of women seeking abortions will be sent to a CPC due to directed advertisements. These CPC's are also targeted at low-income and women of color, advertising their "services" at Black and Latinx churches. "Further, African-American women are more than twice as likely to get late or no prenatal care as non-Latina white women, and are three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related complications" (NARAL).
