STOP THE REAWAKEN TOUR: END FALSE CHRISTIAN NATIONALIST NARRATIVE
To all members of faith communities throughout the greater Rochester region, we need to come together and unite around ceasing the spread of a false nationalistic Christian narrative. Individuals and groups were instrumental in preventing the ReAwaken America Tour from being hosted here in Rochester at the Armory. As many of us are aware this band of traitors is traveling across the country continuing to spread the "Big Lie."
They are ruthlessly engaged in a maligned attempt to overthrow our system of democracy. This event has been rescheduled to take place at the Cornerstone Church in Batavia, N.Y. on August 12th and 13th. Paul Doyle, the "leader," of this church is excited that he will have the opportunity to baptize up to 2000 participants. The current and ever-persisting threat is that these individuals are determined to create a Christian theocracy, where their distorted interpretation of Christianity supersedes the law of the land. What was initially a fringe political faction is quickly metamorphosizing into a fanatical religious cult. We as Spirit-filled individuals and members of faith communities must push back and reclaim our autonomy to practice or not, freely from nationalistic political dogma. Religion must extricate itself from empire and as a tool of oppression. We must demand that leaders across all segments of the community stand up and reclaim authentic and just morality based on principles of inclusivity with honor and dignity for all. Baptism in any faith is not the answer or cure-all for society's complex issues. Please circulate this petition throughout your communities and networks, we must reclaim spiritual soverneigntry in a pluralistic society.

Why is this important?
Not only is the county's system of democracy at stake, but the fundamental principle of separation of religion and state is also being destroyed. As a democracy, it goes without saying; that individuals should be allowed to practice or not any form of worship they find meaningful; not some form of state-sanctioned autocratic theocracy.
