No More Death in the Dark- Light Up Sorrento Road

Sorrento Road with no lighting
Make Sorrento Road Safe for Families

Sorrento Road is pitch black at night, making it highly dangerous for both local families and tourists vacationing here. FDOT is actively working on a project to start in 2027 from east of Bauer Road to Gulf Beach Highway but their plans do not include streetlights or reflective markers.

We are local families who have lived through the pain of severe crashes and the loss of loved ones on Sorrento Road in Pensacola, Florida. Right now, we are concerned that widening Sorrento road without adding lighting will lead to more traffic crashes and more tragedy on this roadway. Because of our loss, we have deep concern for our communities safety on this road.

Why is this important?

In loving memory of David Hill, Jeffery Nichols and all the people who have passed on Sorrento Road.
