Why is this important?
PETITION TO APPEAL: On Monday, April 14th, 2025, Frank the Pizza King posted on their Facebook that after 64 years, the new owner of their building is not allowing them to stay. This building is one that is frozen in time, with the warmth and laughter of families, friends, and strangers sharing the best local pizza in Colorado. No matter what place in life someone who walked through those antique doors was going through, they knew they could count on that extremely specially made thin crust, cherry coke, salad, cheesy garlic bread — and the smiles that were served with it. Think back to all the beautiful memories and full tummies we have all shared here. We need to do everything we can to preserve this building in history. 🩷 Too much of that is being lost nowadays. We have to do this.
This is the time to step up to the City of Englewood as well as the new owner of this building and petition to keep it in all its grandeur and historical beauty! We believe that hearts can turn and that the new owner of the building will decide to experience the beauty, impact & historical importance of the original Frank’s building themselves! This location doesn’t need to be modernized - it needs to be preserved. Let’s put money aside and focus on what’s more important here.
