Education reformLouisiana would greatly be affected by the passing of this bill because it would give students vouchers to attend private school therefore using taxpayer dollars to private schools instead of public schools where all students are guaranteed an education. Teacher's job would depend on test scores of students and those teachers would have to have 5 years of good scores to get tenure (which only means that if a teacher is being fired then they have a right to a hearing on the decision to fire that teacher) this tenure doea not protect bad teachers. It just gives a teacher a fair hearing. This bill does not take into account the student's variase reasons that they do not perform well on the test. Taxpayer dollars meant for public schools would go to private schools and the development of charter school is established. Charter schools have failed in the past but this bill would allow them to establish in public schools that are going to be closed because of laque of enrollment. Most private and charter school have teachers that are not certified or have very little experience to handle a large class.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Melissa

Health care should be accessible to everyone.1-Every US citizen and lawful resident has the right to basic health care. For covering these expenses, a basic health care tax (~2%) must be implemented. Along with the established insuring system, the government must provide healthcare to every member of society who wants to accept it, be that a jobless person or a billionaire. All physicians must take care of patients as Hippocrates did. 2-Health care is not a business and must be regulated by the government as a socially vital professional sphere, similar to safety (police) and protection (fire fighting). 3-No health care professional, including insurance executives, can earn more than The President. 4-No physician or insurance company has right to bankrupt a patient. 5-Hospitals and physicians must have no rights to bill insured and non-insured or involved or non-involved in groups patients differently. 6-The prices of all medical examinations, treatments and per minute physicians’ charges must be posted in the front entrances of all hospitals and physicians’ offices. The minute charge of a physician should not exceed The President’s minute salary.27 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ara Arutunyan

Congresspeople will participate in the same health care system as the rest of us. 5. A common retirement plan. Congresspeople will have to purchase their own retirement plans, just like the rest of us. 6. Uniform compliance. Congress must equally abide by all laws applicable to the rest of us. 7. STOP WHITE STREET LANDFILL FROM RE-OPENINGOn Thursday, June 16, 2011 Guilford County Superior Court Judge Richard W. Stone granted a preliminary injunction which prevents the City of Greensboro from entering into a contract with a private company for the operation of White Street Landfill until the case is heard in court. On Tuesday, July 19, 2011, on the basis of a technicality (that the injunction applied only to the opening of NEW projected sections - Phases IV and V - of the landfill), the Greensboro City Council voted on a narrow 4-3 margin to authorize re-opening of an existing phase (III) with an estimated remaining capacity of 3-5 years tops, which has been closed to household trash since 2006/7. We view this City Council decision as a violation of THE SPIRIT of the Injunction which (based upon NC General Statute 160A-325) required the necessary health, environmental, socioeconomic, financial and civil rights impact assessments to be completed to see if re-opening the landfill was justified, especially in light of recent residents who moved there with the tacit understanding and assurance that that landfill was closed for good to foul-smelling household trash.467 of 500 SignaturesCreated by John Bart-Plange

10th Floor Rent Strike#TenthFloorStrike Our requests are fairly simple and urgently needed: 1) All evictions to be halted immediately. There is no possible reason for someone to be put out on the streets right now or ever. 2) Moratorium on rent collections. We demand that no one be harassed, fined, or threatened during this. 3) Basic safety precautions need to be enacted immediately. This may include daily cleaning and sanitizing of common areas. We also ask that other health and safety issues be addressed as soon as possible (rodents, insects, mold, lead, radon, and so on). 4) 10th Floor, stand with us in demanding healthcare for everyone in America. This crisis highlights how broken our healthcare system is, especially for those most vulnerable in our society. Every single American deserves access to affordable and reliable healthcare, not just virus testing and treatment. 5) Strive for housing security and equity for all in the long term. As the crisis passes we ask every member of 10th Floor to work with us in their internal processes and in local, statewide, and national legislation to secure safe housing for all.120 of 200 SignaturesCreated by MoveOn member

Remove Judge Bruce Schroeder For Blatant Bias in the Rittenhouse case!In the Kyle Rittenhouse case, Judge Schroeder has acted with clear and unrestrained bias. 1) To forbid the term "victim," yet permit the term "looter" skews the trial in favor of the defense. 2) To forbid key evidence that is clearly relevant to the case is to intentionally skew the trial in favor of the defense. 3) To wait until the jury decides before making a decision on mistrial is clearly skewing toward the defense. Should the jury determine he is guilty, he then could set Kyle free by granting the mistrial with prejudice. 4) Schroeder's cellphone briefly rang on Wednesday with a ringtone of Lee Greenwood’s God Bless the U.S.A., which is commonly played at former President Donald Trump’s rallies. 5) And to boot, referring to one of the jurors as "a black, the black, the only black." This is highly unprofessional and he should have been referred to as Juror Number (number.) 6) He let Rittenhouse choose the jurors. This is HIGHLY unusual. 7) He threw out the gun charge. Throughout the case, there have been far too many incidents that clearly define his prejudice and preference for the defense.330 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Denise Glickler
